Ugh. They went and fired the wrong blonde on “Grey’s Anatomy.” Brooke Smith, also known as Dr. Erica Hahn, got canned. WTF? Katherine Heigl and her snaggletooth are still free to roam the set? Brooke is one half of the lesbian couple in the somewhat gay friendly show. Sara Ramirez, who plays Callie, will be out a lover.
“Brooke Smith was obviously not fired for playing a lesbian. Clearly it’s not an issue as we have a lesbian character on the show – Calliope Torres. Sara Ramirez is an incredible comedic and dramatic actress and we wanted to be able to play up her magic.
Unfortunately, we did not find that the magic and chemistry with Brooke’s character would sustain in the long run. The impact of the Callie/Erica relationship will be felt and played out in a story for Callie. I believe it belittles the relationship to simply replace Erica with ‘another lesbian.’ If you’ll remember, Cristina mourned the loss of Burke for a full season.”
Apparently the ‘suits’ at ABC had some ‘issues’ with the explicit direction Callie [Sara Ramirez] was going. Remember “south of the border” and “undiscovered country” bit? They didn’t like Dr. Hahn and wanted her gone now. Well, this Thursday is her last show. Rumor has it she gets in her car and is never seen again. Does she die or was she abducted by aliens? Has Xenu taking her for testing?
We will never know. It will be like one of those “Choose Your Own Adventure” books. In my opinion, we need more McSteamy. If you strip him, viewers will come.

This is the ugliest lesbians couple I have ever seen. It makes me so glad that those fugly girl do not like men…..or us men would be in huge trouble. The one on the left looks like a Hippopotamus that has learned how to walk on two feet and the one on the right looks like a dime store hooker who just so happened to walk by the Grey’s Anatomy studio on the right day.
Aww, I love that couple! I’m so mad that they fired her. Hopefully the cast won’t change again soon.
