Demi Lovato Cutting Herself?

After the Disney starlet, who happens to be friends with Miley Cyrus and a rumored former Jonas Brother’s girlfriend, appeared at Cyrus’ Sweet 16 Birthday party with strange marks on her wrist… rumors went into overdrive. Demi Lovato was said to be cutting herself.

Her rep released a statement denying the rumors of self mutilation. The claim is that the “scars” were caused by bracelets.

“Demi was wearing gummy bracelets just prior to her appearance on the red carpet and, because of how tight they were, they left indentations on her wrist,” publicist Allison Leslie said. “These allegations are completely false.”

However, more photos from a different occasion in September with the strange marks has also been found. Which raises the question of the legitimacy of the denial. Which, what sane rep would issue the statement:

“Yes Demi is a cutter. All kids should pick up a lady bic and go to town. She is working on distracting her cutting habits with an eating disorder but she prefers masochism.”

So…hugs for Demi. And…..Damn. These Jonas kids get more arse than a toilet seat.

Well, I have to say I’m not a fan of many Disney stars. But I really like Demi Lovato. I think she’s very unique, and as pretty as she is….she still doesn’t look like anybody else out there! I love that! I hate seeing these photos. They really upset me. I mean, who knows? Maybe she really isn’t hurting herself. Maybe they really are bracelet marks. Who can tell for sure? But looking close…it really does seem as if they are cut marks. I’ve worn bracelets before that were too tight, and yes they leave indentions in your skin….but they have never looked like scratches. I want to badly to make up an excuse for Demi because I don’t want to believe this at all. I think she should talk to somebody. If only the paparazzi would stay out of her face for a few hours…but go figure. Of course they won’t. Anyway, Demi…I doubt she’ll ever read this herself…but in case she does…. Demi, your fans are by your side. (: At least I am. And I hope you really aren’t cutting yourself. I would leave my number so you could call and talk to me if I thought you would ever really get this! But I know that wouldn’t happen. Hey. I agree with you Heidi. If Demi ever does read this, she should know that we are by her side 100% I loveeeee Demi and I really want her to get help. This does look like cutting and as much as I dont want to believe it, I kinda have to say that I unfortunatally think its true. I am scared for Demi and I want her to get help. Demi, you are unique and we love that about you- always have and always will. We will always support you and rember, you can turn to your music and your fans for anything and everything. Demi, i was just da same way…i was cutting myself and everyone found out and i told them dat they were marks from my dog scratching me but no one believed me. so i finally told da truth about my cutting and i was doin it becuz of depression. so dont be afraid to tell da truth…lolz but i am by ur side 100%…lolz ily!

I agree with Taylor and Heidi. I’m a big fan of Demi but ,of course, I do want to help her! I just don’t want anything to happen to her if she keeps doing it. Maybe she wasn’t cutting herself, it could be the bracelets who knows?

I am a HUGE fan of Demi. She is beautiful and unque and just different. She said she was miserable in school. That might be it. She could have had memorys and got mad. I doubt it was bracelets because wouldnt the mark be around her wrist?

If she is cutting herself then she’s doing it for attention, if she did it to relieve stress or something she would have hid it. I cut myself but I wear braclets or long sleeved shirts so nno one knows, the only reason why a cutter would show off the marks is for attention.

i dont think these look like cuts.. or bracelet marks. because i have seen cuts before from expirence. i dunno.. plus.. im not a Huge disney channel fan i just think demi is sort of cool. like.. really.. who cares if she cuts. its a serious problem and the term “emo” is taken offensivly to people who do self mutilate. i mean she is human.. nobody in this world is perfect. who are we to judge what she goes through in life. just because shes a celebrity dont mean shit really… i just wish people would see that cutting is a real big issue.. and the more they make fun of it the worse people feel about themselves for it.. there are people who do it for SO many different reasons. i want to say a lot here. one demi might not be cutting herself. i’m not saying she isnt but i dont think she is. they do not look like cut marks. i know from experience. i’ve been cutting for 4 1/2 years and i just recently tried to stop. i was cutting for about 3 years before one of my friends found out. and when she did she automatically assumed it was a cry for attention….which in most cases it isnt!!! people need to get that! in my case it was depression and feeling out of control and just down right confused. no one seemed to get that. every tells me to stop and demi does not look like she cuts cuts are usually closer together and there are usually more. to me they look like they could be bruises but not cuts because cuts leave gashes and scars!!!!!!

those might not be recent. everyones saying she had such a bad life being bullied so maybe its from that. she is free to do what she wants and feel how she wants. but just thinking that it might be true gives me hope for everyone out there who suffers from this. theres so many people that need help. if one of our role models can do it then so can we.
