Vanity Fair has been knocking shoots out of the park. Tina Fey’s Vanity Fair spread was a huge hit among the masses, cashing on the machine that is the “30 Rock” queen. After the Miley Cyrus Topless debacle the managed to redeem themselves with Kate Winslet baring all.

For their February 2009 issue Cate Blanchett furthers the class in a tasteful shoot that captures the style icon’s lure.

Gorgeous! This my friends is what we should be idolizing. Not that Kimora Lee crap or the war of the Mischa Barton/Nicole Richie headbands.

Tony Romo Faints Under Pressure

After getting his own rump handed to him by the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday in a embarrassing game, Tony Romo passed out. Us Magazine via ESPN reports that the Dallas Cowboys quarterback was in the shower when he collapsed. Teammates called the medical staff, but Tony insisted he was fine and walked out on his own.

The highly scrutinized QB, who is under the media microscope for failed performances as well as boinking Jessica Simpson, threw an interception and even dropped the ball. The Eagles took advantage of Romo’s butterfingers to win the game 44 to 6.

“Players called for medical staff, who brought in a stretcher, but Romo walked out on his own. Tony then did his news conference but had to be helped from the podium. Sources said he suffered a rib injury in the second half, but he refused to answer questions about his health.”

Looks like Jessica Simpson is going to be stroking his ego for the next month and a half. So much for that engagement ring she was hoping for.

Robert Pattinson Drinking Problem and Rehab

New rumors of R.Patz Sparklepants suffering from an addiction to alcohol have started to brew. But rest easy kids. I am calling BS on the subject.

The “Twilight” sequel, “New Moon,” has started with trouble before filming has even begun. The director for the first film was replaced and cast changes have actors fighting for their role. Taylor Lautner is currently up for the chop. His character’s body undergoes a transformation from a 16 year old boy to a man of 27. Michael Copon is currently after the role of Jacob Black.

Now, rumors claim that Robert Pattinson is headed for rehab thanks to too much partying. He spends most of his free time drinking with friends. Most recently he has spent time at La Conversation, Chateau Marmont and Teddy’s. Rob’s drink of choice is an ice cold Heineken. All of his nights spent drinking are reportedly adding up and are said to be causing issues for “New Moon.”

Life and Style Reports:

“But after a long night at Teddy’s in Hollywood recently, he was especially disheveled for a business meeting about his latest film project, Parts Per Billion. “At least one person at the meeting noted that Rob looked a little worse for wear,” reveals an insider close to the actor’s camp.”

He is a 22 year old with gobs of cash. Do you honestly think he is going to sit at home and knit? He is no where near the doors of rehab and who hasn’t gone to work after a rough night of drinking games and Twister with your entourage? Besides drinking some beer at a bar is way better than snorting blow off of Lindsay Lohan’s belly button.

John Lennon Laptop Commercial – Video

John Lennon was killed 28 years ago, but managed to lend a posthumous appearance in a commercial. A foundation that supports getting children all over the world a laptop use Lennon‘s powerful image to spread their message. The “One Laptop per Child” Foundation was created in 2005 after the solar-powered XO laptop was created. The goal is to outfit every child with a computer according to Reuters.

“Imagine every child no matter where in the world they were could access a universe of knowledge. They would have a chance to learn, to dream, to achieve anything they want,” a voice and video image of Lennon has been created to say.

“I tried to do it through my music, but now you can do it in a very different way. You can give a child a laptop and more than imagine, you can change the world.”

Ummm….I am pretty sure those Cambodia children, who lack internet connect, would prefer food or vaccines over a porn machine. Just a thought. Also…how creepy!

Miley Cyrus isn’t shy when it comes to cameras. She has numerous “scandalous photos” that she reportedly took with her own cell phone. Then the tween role model appeared topless but covered by a sheet in Vanity Fair. Parents of adoring fans everywhere were furious. The Hannah Montana star issued an apology for the offending photos taken by Annie Leibovitz.

Triple Murder of Jennifer Hudson’s Family

Jennifer Hudson suffered a devastating huge loss this year. Her mother, brother and nephew were murdered in their home in Chicago. The family is still awaiting to find justice. No one has been convicted of the murders. However, police are convinced they have the killer behind bars. An ex-brother in law is said to be the culprit who selfishly took the lives of three very loved people.

Britney Spears. Period.

Britney Spears started her year in a psychiatric ward after her family committed to an intervention. After loosing custody of her sons and suffering through a breakdown, she ends the year making what is being called the biggest comeback. Her “Circus” album is sitting on top at number one.

Jamie Lynn Spears Gives Birth

The little sister of Britney Spears rocked the controversy cradle with a baby. The 16 year old Jamie Spears gave birth to Maddie Briann on June 19th. The news of the teen mother created an avalanche of outraged parents. Her Nickelodeon show, “Zoey 101” has yet to resume filming thanks to the outpouring of disapproval.

Twilight Mania

“Twilight” grossed over $100 million in it’s first week and launched Robert Pattinson into the hearts of girls (and some boys) across the world. Hysteria marked red carpets as teenaged girls camped out for days to catch a glimpse of the guy who played Edward Cullen. (I lovingly call him R.Patz Sparklepants.) However, he is too busy with a love triangle of his own. Angelina Jolie “crapped out” twins in July. Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon scored the Jolie-Pitt clan a multi-million dollar photo deal for the covers of several magazines.

Madonna and Guy Ritchie Divorce was something that was seen coming from the start of the year. Their bitter split have both camps hurling crass comments. Meanwhile, Madonna has been entertaining Alex Rodriguez. Madge and A-Rod have been having an affair while official divorce proceedings are in the works.

Lindsay Lohan had a great year. She became a lesbian and did her first nude photo shoot. The starlet recreated Marilyn Monroe’s infamous “Last Sitting” photo spread in February for New York Magazine.

Christina Aguilera Topshop Clothing Line

If you were feeling like the world just didn’t have enough lame skinny pants in the world, you can now rest easy. Christina Aguilera will be coming to the rescue and cranking out her own fashion line.

With the help of Topshop, the U.K. based fashion house, a line will soon be outselling Kate Moss’s collection. The creator of Topshop, Sir Phillip Green, has been making efforts to secure Christina’s line in a million dollar deal. The idea is to “appeal to a younger crowd” than the veteran super model.

“Sir Philip has started talks with Christina and hopes to sign a deal soon. She has visited his offices in London and they are thrashing out the details,” says a source.

“Philip loves her style and believes she would add something new to Topshop. Christina is the blonde bombshell who is into pop whereas Kate is the rock chick and model.”

Ahhh, yes. Topshop featuring Aguilera’s idea of style. Home of the tacky, where camel toe’s are bountiful and gaudy plastic belts adore every outfit. Peg Bundy would be in heaven. Why, oh why does everyone with a stylist feel the need to crank out $20 scarves and silk screen printed t-shirts? That’s like saying….oh… I put a band aid on my finger after cutting myself so now I’m a brain surgeon. Sign me up for “Grey’s Anatomy” while we’re at it.

Ciara Steals Beyonce’s ‘Diva’

Just days after Beyonce leaked her video for ‘Diva’ to the net, Ciara follows suit. A source stated that the R&B singer re-released the song without Beyonce’s sign off or approval. Ciara even adds lyrics that take a small jab at the wife of Jay-Z.

“I know you know about that diva diva named B. While I’m at it, I’mma tell ya ’bout this diva named C.”

Ciara is pimping her “mixtape” that is due to hit town next month. “Fantasy Ride” will drop on January 5th.

I didn’t realize that anyone would have the female version of testicular fortitude to steal something for Beyonce. I just have a feeling that the couture is about to hit the fan.

Sexy adds some music to the resume. Ryan Gosling has created a little band that call themselves “Dead Man’s Bones.” He provides the vocals and plays the piano while his friend, Zach Shields, works the drums.

The band’s focus in on “Indie Gothic Rock” that sounds eerily like Jim Morrison Elvis hybrid. Dead Man’s Bones recorded an album in Tel Aviv. The band is currently promoting via Myspace. Gosling and Sheilds site their influences as “disney haunted mansion, doo wop and 60s girl groups.” An initial tour date is also planned. They will be in Texas on March 21st for a showcase.
