Celebrities Who Cut Themselves – Photos

Lindsay Lohan and Demi Lovato are just a few celebs who have shown up in photos with mysterious marks on their arms.

Recently Demi was subject to the scrutiny of cutting rumors when she showed up to an event with marks on her wrist. Her rep insisted that the marks were from a bracelet but photos from a previous incident with similar marks followed. (See that full story HERE.)

Cassie Steele aka Manny from the teen show “Degrassi” has some personal photos that show similar marks to Lohan and Lovato’s. Little Anna Paquin also has the same problem. Her marks are high up on her arms, so the bracelet excuse is out. Christina Ricci also tries to hide her scars.

Let’s hope these kids get some help. It’s a serious issue shouldn’t be swept under a rug and blamed on jewelry.

  6. emcisme says:

Anyone can self injure. If you look more into this you’ll find that several of these girls have confessed to having self injured. Educate yourselves on mental health people, it’s important!

  7. Yvonne says:

I don’t understand why people always flip out over things like cutting. I’m a cutter, and I know a lot of people who are cutters. What do you people expect, for everyone to be perfect? Especially celebrities? Hell no.

  8. Anon says:

Demi doesn’t cut : http://i2.pinger.pl/pgr177/d128cfeb00132a9249e36080/demi-lovato-02.jpg look at that pic where it’s untouched and she’s just walking, there are no marks whatsoever. Just another scam by paparazzi who want to make false stories.

  9. asaky says:

LoL sorry to say most of these would be photoshoped they don’t look anything like real scars or healing caused by cutting

  10. Zakk says:

Its wrong of any one to judge, and sick that people even care to the degree of posting pics to make fun.

  11. no name says:

some of these are real cuts. Some are not some are from watches, cat scratches, and gummy bracelets.

  12. Frank says:

These girls are under TRAUMA BASED MIND CONTROL through corporations like MTV, VIACOM, CLEAR CHANNEL, DISNEY and so on. Tabloids are owned by LAWYERS who are paid to keep track of their “assetts” by hiring photographers to hunt their every move. They are trained for sex as kids and the child pedophile rings run amok through corporations right in front of you all. Your favorite celebrity kids are cutting because they are programmed to self-destroy. Project Monarch – and the butterflies fly away…

  17. Salina says:

Ok. First off, it’s really kinda ridiculous that there is even a site ALL about celebrities who “possibly cut” themselves. The media needs to get out of all of these girls’ lives, and let them and their loved ones handle it. With the media involoved, everything said could be a complete lie. But if they DO self injur, it really wouldn’t surprise me. They constantly have appearances, photoshoots, and so much more. That’d be alot of stress to handle. They always have people tearing them down, and looking at their lives through a microscope trying to find the next big story. Then on top of all of that, they have this to worry about. If they do do it, then my guess is that everyone making a huge fuss over it, is just gonna make them do it some more. I don’t have any of this stuff in my life, and I do it. So just leave them alone. Stay out of it. Being famous isn’t always fun and fab. No good is gonna come from pictures and sites about them and self injuring, just more rumors.

  18. ape says:

Well, cutting is sad and it really sucks to deal with. These girls need to find a better outlet. Trust me, I used to self injure, but I gave up on it years ago. I still have my scars though, so people I encounter automatically prejudge me and dismiss me as a cutter, though I no longer do it. The media really needs to step out of their lives, the whole world doesn’t need to know about their problems.

  19. arayal says:

I cut for 9 years, from 14 to 23. I’ve got many, many very large scars across my biceps (& everywhere else) which are impossible to hide & which make me rather easily recognizable in my neighborhood. Those who are scared away by them can f*ck right off, imo.
If there’s one thing we cutters have in common, it’s PRESSURE on us: whether to be/do or not be/do something, usually. A lot of us don’t like & try to “punish” ourselves…which is why eating disorders also tend to be part of the picture.
I know I thought of cutting as a victimless crime while I was in the thick of it, & yet I went to great lengths to hide what might as well have been a giant neon “CRAZY” tattoo across my forehead.
What I was getting to say was
I can’t imagine the pressure these girls feel in the public eye, so I doubt these marks are photoshopped, ppl..
Cutting isn’t a new phenomenon, but it needs a decent spokesperson.

    O damn. Americans cutting themselves.

  21. kyndra says:

I DON’T THINK THEY REALLY CUT THEMSELVES BECAUSE THEY HAVE A PERFECT LIFE …UNLIKE ME:(…

  22. demi says:

total miscoception that celebritis have perfect lives. i had a different life before, and it didnt change my thinking. but the song Beautiful – Bethany Dillon changed my life. so did http://www.twloha.com please please PLEASE check it out. <3

  23. giorgia says:

Povera demi!!!lo é solo perché da piccola ha subito atti di bullismo!!!

  24. Kelsea Roy says:

I used to cut myself and trust me I hated doing it and the feeling afterwards because I knew I’d sunk so low. That was just the only way I knew how to deal with my anger and problems. I no longer cut myself and I’m proud of myself for overcoming this issue. DON’T think that cutters are doing it for attention because nobody knew for a year that I’d been doing it and I accidently slipped up and my mom saw. It’s a REAL issue!!!!!

  25. S says:

I used to cut and its no big deal. Me and my friends were all known for being “the emo group” all my friends cut themselves at one point and were all fine.

  26. Anon. says:

It doesn’t matter if these are photoshopped or not self harm is a real issue and people don’t understand. I have been a self harmer for 2 year, My mum knows and so does the rest of the school because I forgot my jumper one time in P.E. Self harm helps people to cope with their emocions or to make them feel alive and THERE IS a scientific explanation for it. kthanksbye.

  27. Alejandra Fuentes says:

If they cut themselves is because they took that decision….that’s their private life it has nothing to do with their careers. I cut myself and i don’t care what people say because that’s my lfe.

  28. bloop says:

Uhhh maybe they’re just getting tied up during sex or something

  29. jessica says:

i cut myself and those are no accidental cuts or photoshops. tThat stuff is real and yes they are doing it to themselves. They have some kinks to workout in their lives so let thtem be. Demi and Lindsay are atleast getting help. Let them be.

  30. Rebecca says:

Man that sucks, they must be under a lot of pressure. I know how that feels because I used to be a cutter for 5 years and it got me into more shit then help. The scars I have will last forever and it is something I must accept and I hope these girls will do the same recoginze that they are not alone and find an alternative.

  31. Alex says:

People need to keep in mind that even if the scars don’t look like they’re from cuts, they could also be from burns. Cutting isn’t the only way to self-injure and these girls are under so much pressure there really isn’t anything else for them to turn to.

  32. daniela maria says:

that is a load of bull

  33. Demi Lovato says:

I’m Not The Only One Who’s Really Cutting Yes it’s true i’m cutting myself and i’m in rehab …

Add My New Facebook : Demi-Devonne Lovato Hart-Priv :) and remember … no matter what happend’s to me i’ll always love my fans !!

  34. Aliaria says:

You know what, “Yvonne” cutting is bad. Whoever cuts seriously needs help. When you cut yourself, your life is at stake. It is a big deal. I’m saying this as someone who’s expieriencing it. Yeah, I cut. I know I should get help and it’s wrong. I know what I’m doing wrong.

  35. Chey says:

Everyone who says celebs have perfect lifes, your very very wrong. They may be gorgeous, and get everything every person wants. But they are people too, who have regular ppl problems too. They are no different then the rest of us minus the fact that if they get caught they’re lifes could be even more depressing. I have cut for 2 years now, and I do every once in a while, but I get my help and I’m comming a long way. I love you demi

  36. Emma says:

Princess Diana was famous for being a cutter, and she eventually publicly confessed to cutting herself, attempting suicide, bulimia, throwing herself down stairs (while pregnant with Wills) and jumping through glass. Unfortunately, kept these things secrets for mos of her life because she had been warned that if the public thought she had any mental issues, she would be damaging the name of the royal family, and that they would take her children away, and she needed her children. And Diana’s job consisted of comforting others.
It shows you that even someone who is a member of the wealthiest (ok, no, that’s the Rowlings, but other than that) and most famous families in Britain has problems!

  37. savannah says:

that dosnt look that bad, ive seen way worse on my freinds… but still its stupid to cutt yourself thats why i stopped.

  38. mish says:

its not stupid … if people choose to defile themselves thats there choice … so dont judge them !!!!!!!!!

  39. KP says:

If some of you haters ever spoke to a person who self injured you might understand better.. or if you are just plain ignorant you wouldn’t understand at all. People cut themselves as a way to relieve pain or express it. Maybe for other reasons, that;s just why I did. It may seem sick but as a cutter myself I understand completely why other people do it… including famous people…after all they are human too.

  40. lozbo says:

its not there fault they r uner stress or other thing bt dont judge people by that!

  41. ileana says:

The media should really step out of this. I know Demi would hate to admit it to her fans, but those scars are real, she is not cutting for atenttion, celebrity’s lives are far from perect, and they have loads to deal with, so give them a break..Demi was strong, and very smart, cause she got help, ive been cutting for about a year now, and i hate my scars, people who see them automatically judge me, and its not something that makes my life easier, cutting is a big deal, most of us “cutters” dont know how to stop, whick is pretty dangerous, so please stop judging, and most importantly Leave Demi alone! She has a lot to deal with and se certianly doesnt need the bunch of you to talk about her private life!

  42. me says:

    they do not

  43. Madi says:

they do it, i do it, suck it up ppl. it makes us feel GOOD. it makes us feel FULL, SATISFIED, something nothing else can do. live with it

  44. Jarrod says:

How can you people sit here and say all the crap like “omg my gosh they need help”?? Your the ones who need help! Yes cutting is bad… Im 13 and have been doing it since 11… All you normal people are so annoying!!!! Learn that not everyone is normal and that not everyone goes home to a good family with two incomes and a perfect little girl and a jock boy and a perfect little puppy… My life was horrid but i deal with it my own ways… Get used to it!!

  45. livey says:

cutting is not stupid. it actuually makes u feel better it lets of a hormone that makes you happy and if u actually believe they got those cuts from bracelets then…well i doubt they did (and i think that from personal experience) and when people tell us were not normal and were weird and we need help i dont no if uve noticed it does NOT help! and most of us dont no how to stop. also if you think about it there are far better ways to get attention than cutting. its not like im about to kill myself it just helps us feel good.

  46. Unbelievable says:

Cutting is not “okay”. It’s not cool, it’s not romantic, it’s not sexy, it’s not a badge of honor. It is a physical manifestation of severe unhappiness. You are literally wearing your mental illness on your sleeve.

All of you kids on this board that are claiming to be cutters and that it’s “Okay” to be a cutter need to share this information with an adult. If you don’t feel like you can trust a parent for any reason, then you need to find an adult you CAN trust. A favorite teacher, a school counselor, or even the parent of a friend. Let this trusted person know what you’ve been doing in order to cope with your life, and ask them to point you in the direction of health professionals that can help get you through this.

There IS hope. Life CAN be beautiful. Adolescence does NOT last forever. The world beyond junior high and high school is a VAST improvement, and you are going to want to experience that part of your life without having to explain why your body is covered in old and new scars. Please get help. It is out there.
