The French label Nina Ricci is suing mad over the blatant rip off of her fragrance, “Nina.” The perfume’s bottle for “Twilight: Forbidden Fruit ” comes from the book’s cover that features an apple being held by (who I am assuming is) the story’s leading lady, Bella Cullen.
The “Twilight” franchise cranked out what appears to be an exact rip off of the apple shaped bottle. It is identical to the perfume sold by Ricci. After the rumors that a lawsuit was brewing the designer confirmed her label is taking legal action.
Okay, who didn’t see that lawsuit coming?????

I was hearing them mention that the perfume inspired by Twilight which comes in a cute apple shaped bottle is being sued by some Nina Ricci. I looked up the bottles and they are the same ones. So I am confused is Twilight responsible. I thougt to myself. Should Pepsi sue Coca Cola. They come in similar cans. What of all the cereal boxes they all look the same to me. Or is it what is in the inside that matters. Really it doesn’t make sense. And I also thought well if anyone is responsible it would be the company who manufactures the bottles. I doubt the are any cc rights. Still it is not the same product inside. It is not the same mark. It like Sharp suing Sony for having the ame style and shape flat screen tv. It’s all in the name.

Even though the stuff inside might not be the same, Its proven that the sales of a perfume are greatly increased if the bottle design is popular.
So, yes, in the perfume industry, ripping off a bottle shape so exactly is a /big/ deal.

The hands with the apple on the cover belong to a female hand model, they had the action performed by “Edward” in the ,movie Twilight. I can understand the lawsuit if this woman actually designed the bottle for her perfume.
