Chris Brown Could Go Unpunished Due to Rihanna Beating Photo Leak

TMZ reportedly shelled out $62,500 for the photo of Rihanna’s bruised and beaten face. Police have been investigating the leak and have discovered a suspect according to reports. Insiders at TMZ have revealed that a “law enforcement insider” was paid the lump sum in exchange for the photo. (See the photos of the post Rihanna Beating HERE.)

Per Media Buffet:

“The source of the photo leak, a law enforcement insider close to the investigation, reportedly raked in $62.5k, double the salary of the person suspected of leaking the pic. Sources state TMZ pays a relative or friend of the snitch within 24 hours of receipt of a photo to cover their tracks. TMZ has been in the business of paying high dollar amounts for coveted pix.”

Also pointed out is the fact that the leaked photo will have more than just personal ramifications. According to sources LAPD is worried that the leak will effect the case being built against Chris Brown.

Via Media Buffet:

“Brown, even if guilty, could walk free because of the unauthorized release of this photo,” says and LAPD source. Insiders say LAPD brass is “furious, subpoenas [sic] have already gone out.”

By my research it is more likely to have an effect on the jury pool than the case itself. But with a good attorney you never know…

Chris Weitz Will Not Direct “Eclipse”

Holy “Twilight” drama Batman! Just when we thought the big news surrounding the next installment of the “Twilight Saga” was the release of the art and official title, Summit Entertainment drops another bombshell on the Twi-hards!

According to a source close to the production company, “New Moon” director Chris Weitz will not direct the third installment of the saga, “Eclipse”. Will the drama around these movies never end? Now I understand why Robert Pattinson looks so depressed in his paparazzi pictures and why Kristen Stewart spends her free time smoking down on her front porch.

Via EW.com:

“Because ‘New Moon’, which Weitz is helming, and ‘Eclipse’ are due to be released so close together (on Nov. 20, 2009, and June 30, 2010, respectively), Weitz will be in post-production on ‘New Moon’ at the same time that ‘Eclipse’ will be shooting.”

When did I miss the release date for the third movie? It must have been while I was finding the nipple pictures of Sparklepants. Darn it! I thought I was on top of things when it came to the “Twilight Saga.”

This also means that the two movies will not be shot back-to-back which had previously been reported. According to the source, there will be a brief gap in between the shooting of the two films. Hopefully, the gap will be long enough for a few of the cast members to complete stints in rehab and for Rob’s hair to grow back after he shaves it off again.

Who do you think should direct the third movie? Should they bring Catherine Hardwicke back?

Christian Siriano Payless Shoe Line – Photos

Ok…I am not a huge fan of Christian Siriano. Thanks to “Project Runway” and friends with money, Victoria Beckham, he is rising in the fashion industry. He showed at fashion week this year. (Which doesn’t necessarily make him a hot designer, but doesn’t hurt either.) But I was willing to give him a shot.

When I heard he was cranking out a line of shoes for for Payless I rolled my eyes and expected a half hearted creation of platforms. Which is basically what we have here. The only problem is that most of these designs are recycled from other designers.

The boots are so from last season’s YSL. The spiky heels are a cheap knock-off of Rodarte’s 2008 collection. The color palette of these footwear creations is drab and not exactly appealing. I commend him for bringing designs from popular designers down to a price range that is more realistic, but I hope he isn’t claiming cutting edge on the line.

Perhaps I was expecting something more avant garde. Thoughts?

Robert Pattinson Shows Us His Nipple Candy-Photos

So I was sitting at home, minding my own business when I happened upon these photos of Robert Pattinson leaving the optometrist yesterday in LA. What? No, I wasn’t searching fan sites looking for pictures of him! Are you serious? I mean, I am a grown woman with things to do and…OK. I was searching the internet for pictures of him.

Though there is really no “news” attached to these pictures, I would like to speculate that Sparklepants was visiting the eye doctor to get fitted for some lovely topaz tinted contact lenses he will need in a few weeks.

I also need to get some swooning off my chest here. The boy is hot. Pure hot. I think my pants are on fire. For those of you who were worried that his hair wouldn’t be back to ‘Edward ‘ status by time filming of “New Moon” started, you can see now that the worrying was all for not. His hair is back in shape and even looks a little on the clean side (I am sure that mean old manager of his, Nick Frenkel, is making him stay clean for the Oscars).

If you look at some of the pics closely, you will see that Robert tore the sleeves off his plaid shirt thus not protecting him from what appears to be a chilly February day in California (wink, wink). Thank you for that Mother Nature. Thank you. I love a little Sparklepants nipple candy in the afternoon.

Now that I have done the dirty work for those of you with harsher computer restrictions in the workplace than me, please feel free to enjoy them.

Oscar Winners Results Leaked !?! – See the List HERE

The alleged 81st Academy Awards (Oscar) winner results have leaked to the net. The Academy insists that the leak is a complete fraud. Which I have to agree.

Via Digital Spy Per E! News:

“The document is a complete fraud,” Oscars spokesperson Leslie Unger said.

“Pricewaterhouse Coopers is still counting the ballots and there are only two people there who will know the complete list of winners in advance of the envelopes being opened during the ceremony,” added the spokesperson. “The Academy’s president is not advised of the winners in advance and no such list is created,” Unger added.

According to the leak here are the 2009 Oscar Winners:

Possible Wedding for Calista and Harrison?

According to the NY Post, Calista Flockheart and Harrison Ford might be getting married! And who am I to stand in the way of a January-November marriage?? He’s only 20 years her senior, that’s not bad, right??? Besides, as long as I am allowed to do the same when I get to be that age!

According to the Post:

Bigmouths swear Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart took blood tests and got licenses so could be they already are or soon will be filing joint returns.

After being together for almost six years, I will admit this is somewhat romantic. Although, apparently when Ford asked Flockheart to marry him, she thought he was kidding! And he had to convince her he was serious!! BAM! That’s a shot to the ego!! At least the two have gotten over that and are now nuptual bound!

I wonder who the designer of the dress will be! I just hope she doesn’t pull a Celine Dion–that was fugly!

Heath Ledger’s Family Will Rob Matilda of Oscar

Yesterday as they were landing at LAX, the family of the late Heath Ledger was asked if daughter Matilda Ledger would get the Oscar for his inevitable win as supporting actor for his role of the Joker in “The Dark Knight.”

Per The Envelope:

“Oh, yeah, down the line. We’ll keep it for her forever!” Said Heaths’ father Kim.

Um… what? The academy requires that posthumously bestowed Oscars go to the late person’s spouse or a child of legal age. Therefore, that award technically will belong to Matilda, and her mother Michelle Williams should accept the award on her daughters behalf. Although, that would create a sticky situation given the fact that Williams and Ledger were estranged at the time of his death and the two never married. The only thing stopping little Matilda from going up there on stage to accept that award is the fact that she is only 3 years old. You can bet your bottom dollar if she was older, she’d proudly go up there and accept that award on behalf of her father. Keeping the award will break the agreement the Ledgers made with the academy.

Per The Envelope:

“It’s complicated, because there are two different questions that have to be answered. First, we have to decide who gets the job of accepting the award onstage on the night of the ceremony. And then there’s the question of the eventual disposition of the posthumous statuette, which may not stay with the person who accepts it.” says Bruce Davis, Academy Executive Director. “In the event that Heath Ledger should be selected as the supporting actor recipient, the statuette will be held in trust for his daughter by her mother, Michelle Williams, until Matilda reaches the age of 18. At that point, she may execute what we call an heir’s agreement and keep the statuette forever — or, if she chooses not to do that, it will return to us.”

So what about the actors Screen Actors Guild Award that was won not too long ago? According to SAG Awards producer Kathy Connell, they are still holding it until the proper paperwork can be filled out. And what about his Golden Globe award? The Hollywood Foreign Press Association says they shipped Heath’s Golden Globe over to the office of his publicist Mara Buxbaum. Or what about his Critics Choice award? Supposedly, it was shipped to Warner Bros. awards office. But when asked, they claimed they don’t have it, and to ask Ms. Buxbaum for an official statement. Hmmm… so all of Heath’s awards are nowhere to be found… Interesting.

So why is the Ledger family being so shady with his awards? His daughter is his sole heir, and therefore should have her father’s belongings. With the way Heath obviously loved his daughter, you can assume he’d want her to have them. Matilda lost her daddy at such a young age – shouldn’t she at least have things to remember him by?

6 Watchmen EW covers!

Now I am not the biggest ‘graphic novel’ fan, but “The Watchmen” just looks so slick. I mean, have you seen the trailer, where ‘the Comdian’ is thrown out the window in slow motion? That’s hawt. And mean in a stylistic way. And now, to continue its amazing advertising campaign, there are going to be for Entertainment Weekly. Different copies of the magazine feature Rorschach, the Comedian, Dr. Manhattan, Silk Spectre, Nite Owl, and Ozymandias. If you follow this link, you can order the different covers over the internet. I personally like the Comedian one the best, he’s just so bada$$!!

The Watchmen” is due out in mere weeks–March 6th to be exact. It is about an alternate 1985, where Nixon is still president and tension between the United States and the Soviet Union are still going strong. Vigilante Rorschach investigates the murder of a former hero and uncovers a plot to discredit and murder various heroes. It stars a gammut of people: Billy Crudup as Dr. Jon Osterman / Doctor Manhattan; Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Edward Blake / The Comedian; Malin Akerman as Laurie Juspeczyk / Silk Spectre II; Patrick Wilson as Daniel Dreiberg / Nite Owl II and Jackie Earle Haley as Walter Kovacs / Rorschach. It is directed by Zack Snyder, who directed “300“.

All I have to say is that “The Watchmen” looks as visually stunning as “300″ and it has a really cool plot. But will all the die-hard fans be able to handle this adaptation? Do I really care?? I just like shiny, pretty films!

Completely “Lost” – Recap

I have to begin this week’s “Lost” recap by apologizing for its lateness. I had to spend my day dealing with sick kids and an in-law’s birthday, thus making me put aside the finer things in life, like watching the “Golden Girls” and writing about “Lost”. I received many emails from my disgruntled fans (ok, it was my mom and two or three friends), so here it is, and again, I am sorry I didn’t have it up for you sooner.

Goodbye LA!

I personally am so sick of having to see the Losties in LA. If I ever wanted to go to LA before watching this show, I certainly have no desire to go there now. OK, if Robert Pattinson is in town, maybe. But seriously, LA is so last year compared to the island (time travel pun intentional).
So you can imagine how ecstatic I was when this week’s episode, “316”, began just like the coveted pilot episode with Jack awaking on the island. Yes! Jack realizes at once where he is and appears both happy and relieved-much like myself. He hears Hurley calling for help, and Jack is off to the rescue. All is as it should be for Crista.

Jack saves Hurley and then spots Kate who has washed up on a boulder. Oooh, is she dead? Nope, like I could be that lucky.

Then BLAM! My dreams are shattered with the flash of the black screen with the words: 46 hours earlier scratched across in white. Damnit!

Now that I have had time to settle down and think about this, I am sure that I would have been even more ticked off if I never learned (or had to wait until next season) how the Losties got back to the island. But at the moment, I groaned. I really don’t want to go back to LA.

But there they were, back at the weirdest church ever built with the creepiest former islander, Eloise Hawkings. Ellie leads our friends to the “Lamp Post”, yet another Dharma station located ever so cleverly in this church.

Here, we are greeted by many gadgets and gizmos that my AP Physics teacher never explained to me thus leaving me totally in the dark about what they are. There’s a map, a pendulum, and some super secret US Army photos on the wall. BORING! Again writers, high school level physics only! Maybe this is the church of Scientology? Were any of those photos on the wall of Tom Cruise?

Official “New Moon” Title And Artwork Released

Last night, I received a message that MTV Movie News would be releasing some very exclusive and important information regarding the high anticipated sequel to “Twilight”, “New Moon”. Because I am committed to bringing you all the latest gossip (not to mention my commitment of undying love and lust to Robert Pattinson), I stayed up to receive the exclusive news.

While waiting, I and the other Twi-hards sat contemplating the upcoming announcement: Would they finally tell us who is playing Aro? Would they finally confirm Dakota Fanning and AnnaLynne McCord? Would they release Sparklepants’ elicit email to me professing his love? Nope. Not even close. And don’t worry Rob, I printed that sucker and took it off my hard drive immediately. It’s well hidden.

MTV’s big news was simply release the official title and art for the film. Twi-hards will be excited to learn that the movie will not simply be called “New Moon.” Instead, producers have opted for the longer title: “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.” This makes sense since they want to directly link the sequel to the successful initial film. However, it’s long for me to type, so I will still be calling it “New Moon”.

The powers-that-be have also opted out of using the same shade of blue for the title font that was used for the first film choosing a shade of orange for the sequel. Oohh, scandal. What color will they use for “Eclipse”? What about “Breaking Dawn”?

The best news in my opinion is that the release date is still listed as November 20, 2009. This gives me plenty of time to think of a really good excuse to miss that day of work.
