‘New Moon’ Needs Mountie Protection!

Apparently the cast of “New Moon” are royalty in Canada as the Royal Canadian Mount Forces have been charged with the very serious duty of protecting the cast from rabid fans. Now Mounties normally only protect the Monarch, important government persons and dignitaries. Somehow R Pattz and crew are considered at the same level as this, by gaining their protection. Now I know TwiHard fans can be extremely dangerous, I am still getting over my last encounter with a 12-year-old, but one would think this is something the local police force could handle. Apparently not?!

This all started when some excited fans got a little too close to the set. According to celebedge.com, the tweens got like totally miffed when they were told they were not allowed closer to the set. Thankfully K Stew was on hand to handle the crowd by posing for pictures. I think she needs to be made an honorary Mountie because of that. Who knows what would have happened if she hadn’t stepped in? Would R Pattz’s hair become more messy? Would Tayler Lautner’s wig been set on fire? No one knows!!

As a “thank-you” the producer’s of “New Moon” have donated $3000 to a Mountie charity which gives sports equipment to schools. Being Canadian, it’s nice to know my Federal Police Force can be bought like this. Warms the cockles of my heart, really. Hey, do you think one of the Mounties will be put in-charge of R Pattz’s hair??
