Big Brother Weekly Recap - Fights, Houseguest Removal, and Another New HOH to Boot!

Oh what a week it has been in the Big Brother house! I’ve never seen such chaos in such a short period in Big Brother 11 much less the entire show’s history. If you don’t have the live Big Brother feeds then you may have missed some extremely shocking and drastically game changing events. I’ll catch you up with everything you need to know right here.

Over the last week we’ve seen fights, major backdooring, a contestant flipping their lid, and stealing of a mans rosary among other things. And actually, this is all since just Thursday! Lets begin a few days earlier, shall we? Chima, the self-proclaimed diva, won Head of Household and was determined to get out her arch nemesis Russell because she feels as though he hates women and has called her out on her lies throughout the game. Most likely, she just wants him gone because she can’t understand how his 20-something hot tail could reject her collagen injected lips. Russell is dealing with the fact that his supposed friends in the House just got him nominated, so he is sure his alliance with Chima, Natalie and Jesse is done. This proves to be an accurate assessment by Russell, being put up on the block against Lydia for eviction.

Jeff was called to Diary Room the week before to be awarded the Coup d’état power voted on by America, giving him the opportunity to overthrow the HOH and change either one or both of their nominations - given that he keeps having this power to himself and doesn’t reveal to any other houseguest, including his main house-squeeze Jordan. He only has two weeks to use this power and since it wasn’t used the week before he has one more chance to use it at the next Eviction Ceremony. Russell says his last chance at surviving in this game is either winning the Veto competition (which he does not. Kevin won, and decided not to use it at all. Lydia takes it personal and gets upset with Kevin for not using the Veto on her to save her.), or by the “Wizard Power,” aka the Coup d’état, being used on him. Russell is done being nice to Chima, and it shows. When Chima chides Russell to get moving out of the shower, a fight ensues in the kitchen. When Chima calls Russell a “terrorist,” Russell yells at Chima for using a racist comment, while Chima argues that she is calling him a terrorist specifically for terrorizing everyone in the house. Such a BS excuse Chima, later comparing herself to the “Twin Towers” and again calling Russell a terrorist. This angers not only the houseguests, but America - who in return flooded CBS & Big Brother with a lot of complaints against Chima. It has been reported that CBS was flooded with calls asking for Chima to be removed from the show. Russell and Chima then trade a series of insults as they goad one another. “You’re going home,” Chima yells, adding that Russell can’t handle being evicted by a woman.

Jesse is very nervous about the “Wizard Power,” knowing that the HoH and the Veto holder are the only two people who are truly safe, so he feels that he’s a target. And rightfully so, as Jeff wants Jesse out of the house! Jesse makes it known the worst case scenario for him would be the Wizard Power being used, and him being put up on the block because he knows he will be the next one to leave the Big Brother House. Natalie and Jesse believe that either Jeff or Jordan has the power, so Natalie suggests they go and butter up to the duo, to try to ensure their safety in the house. Too little, too late guys! Natalie gets Jeff to play badminton, while Jordan turns down Jessie’s attempt to engage her in a game of catch. Jordan thinks it’s weird that Jessie and Natalie are so buddy-buddy with them all of the sudden, knowing that something scandalous is going on and vowing to figure it out. Once things have calmed down, Jessie talks to Chima in the HoH room. They both agree that Russell needs to go this week with a 6-0 vote and Chima stating that she will love to dance on his grave. She warns that if the Mystery Power is used, “you’ll see a side of me you have not seen before.” She is “99.9 percent sure” that Jeff has the Mystery Power, and vows that there will be drama next week if Jeff uses it, and the drama will be directed at him.

On Thursdays episode - usually live, but pre-taped during the day due to Chimas threats to go off on the house, on host Julie Chen, and to cause so much drama that the FCC will fine Big Brother - Julie chimes in and reminds the House Guests that one of them has the Mystery Power, telling the house guest that if the power holder would like to use it, please stand up. Jeff stands up! Jordan looks shocked as Jeff says, “welcome to the party.” Julie explains that the Mystery Power is the Coup d’état, which allows Jeff to overthrow the HoH and change one or both of the nominations. Julie then asks Jeff if he would like to change one of the nominees. He says yes, and asks Lydia to move to a new seat while Natalie takes her place in the nomination chair. Julie asks Jeff if he would like to change the second nominee. He says yes, and replaces Russell with Jessie! Before taking one of the green chairs, Jessie whips off his long-sleeved shirt to reveal a t-shirt with a picture of himself on it! “You guys have run the house and haven’t felt the feel of the block,” Jeff says. “Feel the pain a little bit. Enjoy.” Camera pans to Chimas’ face, who looks as if she could kill Jeff… then over to Jesse, who you swear is about to start crying. Easily, one of the best moves in Big Brother history! Thats right Jesse - your game is OVAH!! You don’t run the house no more! Time to vote! Lydia opts to evict Natalie, while Jordan votes to evict Jessie. Russell votes to evict Natalie, while both Kevin and Michele vote to evict Jessie, which seals his fate in the game! We have our first Jury Member! Outside, with Julie, Jessie says that it is no surprise that he is out because America didn’t like him last season, either. Julie calls Jessie on his lack of game play and his marathon sleeping sessions, but Jessie says that he knew he was doomed with the Mystery Power. He once again congratulates Jeff on a great move as Julie consoles him with the revelation that he made it farther this year than he did last year. While Julie is interviewing Jesse, Chima and Natalie are ganging up on Jeff assuring him that he is their next target and calling him “dumb and stupid” for using the power. As Chima starts in on Jeff a little more, Jeff turns around and reiterates that this is a game. Chima lashes out, and reminds Jeff that he lied because he said he was going to vote Russell out. Jeff says he didn’t actually get to vote, so he didn’t really lie. Chima tells him that she doesn’t want to argue “semantics.” Obviously, Chima and Natalie are just poor sports realizing that Jeff just outsmarted them and played a way better game than the two of them, taking out their teams ringleader.

Once again, the power is up for grabs. Julie explains that this competition is called “Hit the Road,” in which the object is to correctly guess the answers to questions about past competitions from the summer. The final two in the competition comes down to Michelle vs. Kevin, with Michelle being crowned the new HOH. Chima looks a little pleased, thinking Michelle will nominate Russell for eviction and that she will be safe. It is clear that Michele’s win makes for a wild card week in terms of nominations because no one really knows which side Michelle’s loyalty lies with. Chima wastes no time running to Michelle to start the “Russell bashing,” trying to push for Michelle to put him on the block in the nomination ceremony. Michele has bad news for her when she says Chima won’t like her picks for eviction. “So not Russell?” Chima asks.

Michele calls everyone into the dining room for eviction nominations. She stresses that her nominations are purely strategic, and not personal. Jordan’s key comes out of the box first, followed by Jeff’s key. Russell, Kevin and Lydia then find that they are safe for the week. Natalie and Chima are this week’s nominees! Michele tells Chima that she is one of the fiercest competitors in the House and that she respects her as a strong woman. “I see you in the final two,” Michele says. “I want to be in the final two, and I don’t see you taking me.” Michele apologizes to Natalie, but tells her that she needed someone else in the other nomination spot. Russell is thrilled with the nominations, but Chima not so much claiming she doesn’t care if she is nominated or not.

Warning: From here on out, there will be major spoilers. If you don’t want to know whats been happening past last nights show, then stop reading. You have been warned!

Apparently, the stress of the Big Brother house, or being outsmarted, has gotten the best of Chima. She has quit and left the house after a meltdown involving a microphone she threw into the jacuzzi during the live feed earlier on Saturday. According to reports, Chima woke up to practice for the veto competition, didn’t take her mic and was warned by the production of the show to put it back on several times. Natalie gave Chima her mic and she just threw it in the hot tub. Then drama just starts to unfold:

Per BumpShack:

Mike: Hey Guys, can you all come into the Livingroom please? We need to have a house meeting.

…. … they speak …. ….

Allison Grodner: You will be paying for the mic pack Chima, this will come out your Stipend.

Chima: You know what? ***** this *****. I’m outta here. love you, nat–you too Lydia. *throws something* (her mic?)

She presses the diary room button, it doesn’t go green, she tries to pull the door open (EVERYONE is in the living room sitting down btw) and Chima says “don’t ***** with me, open this damn door. NOW!”

Then Nat and Lydia want to leave with her, but production asks them to remain a moment..

AG: Everyone, PLEASE calm down!

Lydia gets up and tries to open the DR door, bangs on it, crying.

Chima was SCREAMING at AG! The entire control room was told to record everything in case something happened. Security may have been there too.

At this point, it is believed Chima was taken into the Diary Room, and this was the last the remaining houseguest seen of her, but not before stealing Russells rosary and hiding it somewhere in the house. Chima not only has now lost her stipend completely, will not be allowed to attend the finale and after party, and also has been banned from all media sites owned by Viacom, CBS’ parent company. This includes, MTV, VH1, BET, etc… She has also been warned against slandering the BB production because they’ll sue her, telling BB “she has friends”. CBS and Chima have each released statements about the ordeal with CBS claiming the was evicted, and Chima stating she quit the show, leaving on her own will, and also taking the opportunity to get in a little more Russell bashing.

Per CBS:

“Chima has been evicted by the producers from the Big Brother house for violating the rules. She will not be part of the show’s jury. Her eviction will be addressed on an upcoming broadcast of the show.”

Per Examiner:

“Yes, I did in fact quit the show, although there are reports on EW from CBS to the contrary. Big Brother would like everyone to believe I was kicked off for not following the rules, but I went to the producers repeatedly over the past couple of days wanting to leave….wanting out of that house!” (Please visit the link to the quote to read her entire statement.)

Apparently, Big Brother decided to cancel Michele’s HOH after all this drama and hold another HOH competition - and Jordan wins! Yay! I love Jordan and I am so glad she finally won something, keeping the power with her and Jeff. The drama doesn’t stop there though. Since the live feeds returned after the competition, the house has been on fire as Lydia, Natalie, and Michele have exploded into fights. Jordan makes her HOH nominations today, with signs pointing to a Lydia/Natalie nomination - that is, if Kevin’s lies about Russell doesn’t get either one of them nominated. All this drama and excitement should be aired on Tuesday nights show, but it will be interesting to see what kind of edit they spin on it. Seriously folks, if you don’t have the live feeds its well worth the price of having them! Thursdays show was to be a live double eviction, but given the fact that Chima now has left the house, you can assume. it will resume normal scheduling with only one houseguest being evicted. But Chima’s departure leaves a problem for the Jury House, as there will now only be 6 jury members voting on the eventual winner. Given the fact that there is a tie, it is being rumored that America will have the deciding vote.

So there you have it - Exciting enough for you? Sure has been one heck of a weekend in Big Brother Land!

That was so sweet that Jeff let Jordan win HOH, it makes me like him even more. I hope Jeff is careful with Russell.
