DJ AM Found Dead
Adam Goldstein, better known as DJ AM has died. The DJ was found dead yesterday afternoon in his New York City apartment, he was 36.
A friend of Goldstein went to the apartment after trying to contact the DJ for several days. When no one responded, he contacted authorities.
Via TMZ:
“A rep for DJ AM just issued the following statement: “Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein was found deceased this afternoon in his New York City apartment. The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear. Out of respect for his family and loved ones, please respect their privacy at this time.”
Many reports are noting that drug paraphernalia, including what appears to be a crack pipe, were found in the apartment.
DJ AM and Blink 182 drummer, Travis Barker, survived a plane crash in September 2008. AM also dated Hollywood socialite Nicole Ritchie and singer Mandy Moore.
Sources are stating that Goldstein and his girlfriend recently split and he was having a difficult time adjusting.
