Exclusive ‘New Moon’ Trailer To Premiere At 2009 MTV Video Music Awards

Ok Twi-hard fans – you might want to take a seat for this one! Apparently, the very first “Twilight Saga: New Moon” trailer at the MTV Movie Awards this year wasn’t enough of a tease for us. So at this year’s upcoming VMA’s, us Twilight fans will not only get an extended trailer for the movie, but also a preview of the soundtrack’s lead single.

The expanded “New Moon” trailer will air during the broadcast of the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, which will air on Sunday September 13, 2009 at 9:00 p.m. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are set to make appearances at the awards show. Set your Tivos and DVR’s! And to make this recent news even better, its been announced that MTV.com will exclusively unveil VMA nominees Death Cab for Cutie’s “Meet Me on the Equinox,” the lead single off of the New Moon soundtrack, due out October 20, 2009.

Now the VMA’s are worth watching!

DJ AM Possible Suicide?

People Magazine is specualting that Adam Goldstein, otherwise known as DJ AM, committed suicide last week.

As you know, Goldstein was found dead in his New York City apartment last week after a concerned friend contacted authorities when Goldstein did not return calls.

Autopsy reports reveal that Goldstein had 8 OxyContin pills in his stomach and one pill in his mouth at the time of his death.

Via People:

“He wanted to die,” says the source, who says the suicide theory is supported by the pills and other evidence. “He was going unconscious when he took the last one. He didn’t even swallow it.”

The “source” goes on to explain that items found in Goldstein’s apartment also point to suicide.

“A mirror was propped inside the door to the apartment and another inside the door of the bedroom, where Goldstein’s body was located in the bed, the source says. When the police, Goldstein’s manager and paramedics entered together, they pushed the first mirror to the side. When they entered the bedroom, the mirror propped against the door shattered. ‘They pushed it open and it broke,’ the source says.”

According to the source’s theory, this proves that Goldstein barracaded himself into this room before taking the lethal amount of drugs.

LeAnne Rimes Divorcing Husband Dean Sheremet

Come on now. Who really did not see this coming? In a turn of events that comes as absolutely no surprise to anyone, singer LeAnn Rimes and her husband Dean Sheremet have officially announced they are divorcing. Rimes took to her personal website, of all things, to announce the news to the handful or so of fans she has left.

Per LeAnn Rimes’ World:

“After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Deane and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage. This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another. Thank you so much for all of your continued love and support – it is deeply appreciated.”

Deane? Wow, the homewrecker couldn’t even manage to spell her husband of 7 years name right! The couple had announced their separation at the end of July, shortly after Eddie Cibrian and his wife Brandi Glanville announced they were getting a divorce, due to the recent rumors of an affair between Rimes and Cibrian while filming the Lifetime movie “Northern Lights” last fall. Eddie and LeAnn’s relationship has been made public for several weeks now, as they’ve been out golfing, attending Kings of Leon concerts, and the newest rumor is that couple are now living together after returning from their romantic vacation in Mexico.

Sources claim that LeAnn is paying Dean off for the pain she’s causing him with a nice apartment in New York, and most likely a really sweet divorce settlement. Dean hasn’t said much for or against LeAnn so far, so maybe once he receives his payday he’ll break his silence and make her out to be the dog she really is. Until then I hope he gets a really nice settlement – let her pay as any man would in this situation. Glanville, however, has not been so quiet on her recent distaste for her ex, speaking out against him every chance she gets, calling him “somebody I just don’t know” among other more harsher things. Reports floating around last week talk about Rimes plans to marry Cibrian, which one can only hope is true so that she can experience the same pain she’s caused once another lapdog female comes pouncing his way and catches his eye. Karma, LeAnn… Karma. Once a cheater, always a cheater. I’m now accepting bets on how long it will be before I’m writing up a “Eddie Cibrian Falls for CSI co-star, leaves LeAnn Rimes behind” article.

Whitney Houston Good Morning America Photos and Video

A fan taped video of Whitney Houston on Good Morning America hit my mail box today. She was on the show to pimp her new album “I Look to You” after a seven year hiatus. She preformed in Central Park and reportedly didn’t do a very stellar job. Several fans reported that her voice cracked several times as she sang. Houston claimed that she talked too much earlier with Oprah.

I too blame Oprah.

CGI Smurfs First Look – Photo

This first image of a CGI Smurf from Sony Pictures Animation’s upcoming “Smurfs” movie has hit the net kiddos! Any 80′s child is sure to appreciate this, because… it’s the Smurfs, and who didn’t love the little blue guys? Scheduled to hit theaters on December 17, 2010, the film will be directed by Raja Gosnell.

According to reports, the movie is a blend of live-action footage and CGI special effects that will depict the little blue creatures in 3D format. I’m assuming the blue guy featured in the teaser pictures is Clumsy Smurf, the center of the rumored storyline. Supposedly Clumsy is given to a human child as a doll from Belgium but she soon discovers he’s a living Smurf. Actor John Lithgow is rumored to portray the villain Gargamel as a live action character that is to be blended with the CGI “Smurfs.” Julie Sweeney has also been rumored to have a role in the film.

“The Smurfs” were originally created in 1958 a by Belgian cartoonist named Pierre Culliford, known more commonly as Peyo. Im excited for a chance to relive my childhood days for a few hours. Heads up parents – Better start stockpiling Smurf toys now for Christmas 2010, as I’m sure this will probably be the “it” toys for children.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are Engaged – Photo

If you believe OK! Magazine then yes, the “Twilight” stars are indeed going to wed. However, I find that OK! (their exclamation point, not mine) is a brick short of a load so take it as you will.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are engaged according the mag’s emblazoned cover. However, in the article itself, they are basing this claim on assumption of “life might imitate art” and absolutely NO concrete evidence.

“If Kristen is looking for Rob, she’ll say, ‘Has anyone seen my husband?’’’an insider tells OK!. “And Rob loves to say, ‘Have you met my lovely wife, Kristen?’ It’s cute. They’re like a couple of love-struck teenagers.”

Amid intense are-they-or-aren’t-they speculation, Robsten had kept their relationship under the radar in recent weeks — but then burst out of the closet with an unabashed make-out session among legions of fans at the Aug. 15 Kings of Leon concert held in Vancouver’s GM Place arena.

But since that public PDA, they’ve been sneaking around after dark like — well, like a couple of vampires. “There are those subtle pats and glances on set, but they save the real kisses for after the sun goes down, late at night, when you see them disappear into their hotel,” another source tells OK!.

Why so shy all of a sudden? To paraphrase another sprawling screen saga (The Godfather): It’s business. Twilight’s producers have told Robsten to keep their love on the down low — at least until after the November release of New Moon, the second film of Stephenie Meyer’s series, in which Bella gets involved with hunky werewolf Jacob Black, played by Taylor Lautner.

It’s all about suspension of disbelief. The studio bosses “fear that if a romance between Rob and Kristen is confirmed,” the insider says, “Twilight fans won’t buy into the screen chemistry between Taylor and Kris.”

So basically their story is that they are joking around on set as they film “Eclipse.” Way to go OK! Mag. You just made thousands of Twihards spontaneously combust.

Sarah Jessica Parker Filming 80’s Flashback Scene for ‘Sex and the City 2’ – Photos

Hello 1987! Sarah Jessica Parker is going retro for a flashback scene of her 1980’s start in New York. Compare to vintage 1980’s shots of Parker (the black and white photos), it’s dead on. Filming for the sequel to the “Sex and the City” movie began yesterday. (Click here to see “Sex and the City 2 Starts Filming, Carrie Not Wearing Wedding Ring – Photos”)

I am really hoping this is the direction they are going with the film instead of tearing Big and Carrie apart yet again. It would be refreshing to know how Bradshaw made it into the New York scene and where she came from.

Michelle Duggar Pregnant with 19th Child

This family reproduces so quick that rabbits must be jealous! Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, who are already parents to 18 children ranging from age 21 down to 8 months and with one grandchild on the way, have announced that they are expecting their 19th baby this spring! Nope, thats not a typo my friends! Maybe Jim Bob should consider changing his name to Mr. Jack Rabbit…?

Per People:

“We are so thrilled,” says Michelle, 42. “We just couldn’t believe it is happening.” Jim Bob, 44, agrees: “This never gets old. We are so grateful for each child. We are looking forward to our first grand baby and our 19th child.”

The Duggar’s oldest son Joshua and his wife Anna are expecting their first baby, a daughter they play to name Mackynzie Renee, next month. The Duggars live debt-free in a house they built themselves with their kids, whose names all begin with the letter J: Joshua, 21; twins Jana and John-David, 19; Jill, 18; Jessa, 16; Jinger, 15; Joseph, 14; Josiah, 13; Joy-Anna, 11; twins Jedidiah and Jeremiah, 10; Jason, 9; James, 8; Justin, 6; Jackson, 5; Johanna, 3; Jennifer, 2, and Jordyn-Grace, 8 months. While it is too early to know whether they are having another boy or girl, they already have a list of names starting with the letter J to choose from. The couple have been happily (obviously!) married now for just over 25 years with their lives being documented on their TLC show “18 Kids And Counting.”

I just can’t seem to wrap my head around having that many kids. I have two myself and I’m ready to start my own personal happy hour by noon! But then again I guess after you have a dozen or so, one more added to the mix won’t be that big of a deal. I bet her uterus is crying right about now, screaming “enough!”

Halle Berry Pregnant with Second Child

After months of speculation, Halle Berry is reportedly pregnant with her second child with boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. According to sources at Life & Style magazine, Halle is three months along and she’s overjoyed by the news.

Per Life & Style:

“She’s just ecstatic to be pregnant again,” the insider tells Life & Style. “She wasn’t sure if she’d have another baby, so she’s very happy!”

Berry had difficulty conceiving her first child in 2007, having to go through roughly 30 negative pregnancy tests before her daughter Nahla was born. Her first pregnancy was conceived through in vitro fertilization. This time, the baby is rumored to have been conceived through artificial insemination. Berry’s publicist has yet to comment on this, but Halle has been seen sporting what appears to be a small baby bump in recent weeks, adding to the pregnancy speculation. Congratulations – you can bet this will be another adorable Hollywood celebrity baby!
