2009 Emmy Fashion Disaster

Dame Cara – I love Victora Rowell, most know her as Drucilla Winters from “The Young and the Restless,” but I remember her from “Dumb and Dumber.” This dress is an odd garb that I am guessing was the drapery in Oprah’s Obama shrine. She absolutely wins my nod for Barackiest dress.

Dame Holly – I give this a miss – just like Obama’s recent approval rating.

Dame Crista – Seriously? I am certain this is what Ricky Gervais was viewing when he stated that he is good looking compared to most in the television industry. However, I am positive a drag queen will make this into something quite lovely, like a boa or corset.

Christina Aguilera Talks About Her Abusive Father – Video

While she’s briefly touched on the subject before, Christina Aguilera is opening up a little more about some of the horrible things her family went through because of her abusive father. She talks about how the abuse by her father Fausto, who she is now estranged from, inspired her to use music as an outlet for her pain.

Per Contact Music:

“I witnessed a lot of unpleasant things – a lot of pushing and shoving and fighting and quarreling. Growing up I did not feel safe. Feeling powerless is the worst feeling in the world. I turned to singing as an outlet. The pain at home is where my love for music came from.”

Aguilera claims that her father terrorized her, her mother Shelly and sister Rachel, during the time that her parents were together. The abuse was so bad that Shelly says she even once found Christina with a bloody chin.

The singer’s mother says, “I scooped her up and said, ‘Oh my God. What’s wrong?’ She told me, ‘Daddy wanted to take a nap and I made too much noise.’”

Aguilera’s mother was eventually able to leave her violent husband, taking her daughters to live with their grandmother. Many years later, her father made his way back into her life, but the reconciliation was short lived. He’s begged for forgiveness from her, but Aguilera says she has no desire for a relationship with him, stating that he is not a ‘necessary’ in her life.

Hayley Hasselhoff Calls for Help for Drunk David

I am having visions of a shirtless Hoff and a cheeseburger, kittens.

It seems that David Hasselhoff extended the ‘America’s Got Talent’ finale after-party a little longer than he should have and, once again, his daughter Haylie Hasselhoff had to put the smack-down on her drunk dad.

Apparently the bender was so bad this time, the Hoff had to take a little trip to the local hospital.

Via TMZ:

“We’ve learned 17-year-old Hayley Hasselhoff — who was at home with David — called her mother Pamela, claiming David was extremely drunk. One of Pamela’s friends called 911, paramedics arrived at the family’s home in Encino and took him to the hospital.”

The Hoff’s people have released no statement yet but I am sure it will go something like this:

Zooey Deschanel Marries Ben Gibbard

Zooey Deschanel took time out of her (500) Day of Summer (tee hee) for her wedding this weekend to Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard.

The two were married just outside of Seattle, WA. How very hip of them.

Via US Weekly:

“Zooey was swept off her feet, and Ben is so excited,” a source told Us at the time.

I wonder if Ben has had any naughty thoughts about Katy Perry?

Kim Cattrall (Samantha Jones) to Get Married in ‘Sex and the City’ Sequel -Photos

This is an obvious spoiler alert so only keep reading if you want to know the details.
Thus far major spoilers for the next installment of “Sex and the City” have hit the net already. The film is in the early stages filming and we already have the basic plot. According to Us magazine these are the highlights:

~Carrie Bradshaw (played by Sarah Jessica Parker) and Mr. Big (Chris Noth) are forced to move in with Charlotte and family after Big loses a huge chunk of his wealth.

~Meanwhile, Charlotte (played by Kristin Davis) somehow comes under the impression that her husband is cheating on her. In reality he is building her a dream house. (I believe this same scenario has been done in every sitcom since 1992. Snooze.)

~Miranda Hobbs (Cynthai Nixon) quits her career as an attorney to open a restaurant with her husband, Steve.

~The most interesting detail in the spoilers say that Stanford Blatch and Anthony Marentino will get married. The hilarious scene will also include a serenade by Liza Minelli.

New reports as to Samantha Jones’ role in the movie suggest she will be getting married. After Cattrall was spotted carrying around a script (click here to see Kim Cattrall airing out the S&TC script), a few pages were photographed and read. If the script is correct, Samantha will be taking testosterone in efforts to get pregnant and Smith Jerrod (Jason Lewis) will return. On Friday Kim was on set in a wedding dress and refused to comment on her character’s situation. So it is being assumed that her character is getting married.

If you recall the same wedding dress issue happened while making the first film version of “Sex and the City.” Sarah Jessica Parker was photographed wearing a wedding gown and rumors began that the scene was just a dream sequence began. In this case I would deem it a nightmare sequence in the eyes Samantha Jones.

With the return of Jerrod, baby rumors and now these photos of Kim Cattrall as Samantha Jones in a wedding dress, I think it is safe to say she will be getting married. What do you think?

2009 Full Emmy Winners List, Photos and Video

I may or may not have been celebrating the Bears winning last night instead of watching the 2009 Emmys. So being a naughty Dame, I watched it at the crack of dawn just for you.

Neil Patrick Harris hosted the awards and of course opened with a song and dance. He then made me giggle with a jab at America’s “Jackass,” Kanye West. Harris added, “Here’s hoping Kanye West likes 30 Rock!” to his opener and warned every one of gatecrashers.

It was basically a repeat of last year’s Emmy Awards in the perspective that “30 Rock” and “Mad Men” dominated the accolades. Tina Fey’s tv baby won Outstanding Comedy Series for the third year in a row and “Mad Men” reclaimed it’s award for Outstanding Drama Series.

The real story was taking place back stage. PopEater reports that after Kristin Chenoweth accepted her award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy for her role as Olive Snook in “Pushing Daisies,” she reportedly request medical attention. It started with a migraine that she said started to prevent her from opening her eyes. On site paramedics cared for the actress. She rested back stage and then left the awards. Reps have confirmed that she is doing well and was rumored to be considering returning to the ceremony’s after parties.

Carlisle Cullen Flips Off Papparazzi

Looks as if Dr. Carlisle Cullen isn’t always such a sweet, down to earth guy! While filming the third installment of the “Twilight” franchise, Peter Facinelli was spotted on the set of “Eclipse” chatting away with his co-workers. And though he seemed to be in a happy and chatty mood, he seems to be a little irked at the thought of having his picture taken. Facinelli is very subtly saying “Hi” to the paps in a naughty but hilarious way. I personally don’t care if he’s throwing up gang sides and screaming out “Westside” like Ice Cube back in the 90s, the man will still be hot! Helllllllooooo Doctor!!

Halle Berry is NOT Pregnant

Jay Leno is back with a new season and has already started if off big, pulling some of the biggest names in entertainment this week alone, to include Kanye West (that “Jackass”…the President’s word not mine), Miley Cyrus (wasn’t it past her bedtime?) and now Halle Berry.

Halle Berry, who is named one of the most beautiful women in the world and has been gawked at for her amazing body, reportedly told audience members and show watchers…personally, I have better things to do like sleep- that she has formed a body complex, why you might ask…because of the rumor going around that she is pregnant with her second child. If Halle Berry has a complex about her body then I just loss some self-esteem points. Last week reports came out saying that Halle Berry was pregnant with her and her boy toy’s, Gabriel Aubry, second child.

Ms. Berry stopped by Jay Leno’s late night talk show to set the record straight and tell the world that she is indeed NOT pregnant by wearing a tight fitting dress and looking very good in it might I add.

“I was like, ‘I gotta stop with the burgers, or something!”

If she can eat burgers and whatever she pleases and still have that body, then I am doing something terribly wrong….

Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane Are Pregnant

In an effort to get the tabloids to forget about their “un-sex” tape with some former Miss Teen USA, Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane are now expecting their first child.

Via Starpulse:

“According to Star magazine, the actress is pregnant after turning to fertility specialists for help with starting a family. A source says, ‘Rebecca had some pretty bad morning sickness, but now she’s more than three months along and in great spirits.’”

Hmmm…morning sickness or withdrawl? We all saw Becky proclaim that she was “So high!” on that ‘un-sex’ tape of hers.

Perhaps they will name the baby McCokey?
