Reader’s Beware: Leona Lewis Assulted at a Bookstore!
British crooner and ‘X-Factor’ winner, Leona Lewis was attacked earlier this week by a crazed fan at a book signing in London.
Lewis was signing copies of her new autobiography, “Dreams”, for a slew of fans when a man approached her to have his copy signed.
After signing the book, Lewis looked up at the man who proceeded to punch her in the side of her head with a closed fist.
Via the BBC:
“One fan at the scene told the BBC: ‘My brother saw the whole incident. He [the attacker] walked up there with the book, she signed it and, as she looked up, he just punched her. He [my brother] actually heard the impact.’”
“Another eyewitness added: ‘She was running out with her hand over her eye and I just saw a man on the floor. Suddenly the security all jumped on him and they were trying to pull him out and he was just laughing, he thought it was funny.’”
Reports this morning are stating that Lewis is still in the hospital for observation.
The ‘fan’, was quickly tackeled by the store’s security and handed over to police.
Am I the only person who wonders why this kind of stuff doesn’t happen to Paris Hilton at her public appearances? No just desserts for this Dame.
