* GIBSON WELCOMES EIGHTH CHILD – REPORT
MEL GIBSON is a father for the eighth time after welcoming his first child with girlfriend OKSANA GRIGORIEVA, according to online reports.
The baby girl, who was due in December (09), arrived on Friday (30Oct09), reports to RadarOnline.com.
The tot’s name is not yet known.
The couple made its first public appearance together as a couple in April (09), weeks after Gibson’s wife of 30 years, Robyn, filed for divorce. The pair share six sons and one daughter.
Grigorieva, 39, has a son, Alexander, with her former boyfriend, actor Timothy Dalton.

Mel, so you messed up. Don’t marry this woman because she trapped you. You should always protect yourself. Get your head together; ask for forgiveness from your first wife, if she’ll have you; if she does not – find someone your own age, a regular person, who can wake up in the morning and give you a dose of reality and doesn’t bow down to you because you are a “star.” Looks to me like you will need to manage your money pretty well to take care of all these kiddoes. But stop spitting anymore out! Damage control time! You need to go to the top of a mountain, meditate, and find yourself once again. Your woman is out here in the public sector…and doesn’t revere you because of your celebre. Rather, has a brain and a head on her shoulders, because she realizes juggling all these kids for many years to come will be no easy job. At least take yourself out of the mix as being part of the problem. Straighten up! You’re too old to keep this crap up. I am almost embarassed for you.
