Joss Stone Loves Marijuana and Coke

Now this is the kind of role model parents just love to have for their children. Singer Joss Stone openly admits she smokes marijuana and says she is likely to “dabble” in other illegal drugs because they look like “fun” even though she thinks they are “horrible.” Is she high, or just crazy?

Per DailyMail:

“I don’t want to take all those horrible drugs. Although some sound fun, so I might dabble now and then! I smoke cannabis, but I don’t think it’s really a drug. It’s more of a herb. I don’t regret saying that at all.”

When asked how regularly she smoked, she says it depends on if she is working, and on what song, comparing it to the likes of having a drink to her. Stone goes on to say that she believes ’soft drugs’ such as marijuana are far more safer than alcohol. Her comments have infuriated anti-drugs campaigners who are accusing Stone of trivializing a serious issue.

“Weed has been given this evil stamp, but how is it dangerous? It’s going to make you laugh your arse off? You might go to sleep? I think alcohol is much more harmful. People beat the f**k out of each other on alcohol. But I don’t smoke weed all day long.”

Stone said critics are lashing out at her because she is too honest.

That is my girl..love her!!! She is real, she is honest, she is wonderful!! I know there are alot more celebrities out there that does it, they just don’t say anything! She is absolutely correct, don’t hear about vehicular deaths while high, domestic violence while high..should be legal! That is why I call it the “halli” drug..good lord planted the seed as a weed!!

Will continue to be a fan, if anything, love her more!!!

Oh for pete’s sake….weed is NOT a “gateway” drug. That’s just some lame excuse that someone thought of so they won’t legalize it. I, too, think it should be legal. When was the last time you heard of someone smoking a joint and then getting in their car and killing someone like these stupid drunk drivers? The worst thing that’s going to happen is your fridge is going to be empty and your grocery bill will skyrocket!

@Nan@ You are retarded…..have you been watching reefer madness or something? I smoke for my anxiety and it helps me a lot. I even am able to grow my own and there is no chemicals in it and its not as bad for you as buying from a drug dealer. However, I do agree that in some personalities weed can indeed be a gateway drug for people who suffer from addiction in their family history. But if you really look at it, Pills and Alcohol, Meth and Crack have taken the front seat in being the Drugs of Choice and yes I said Alcohol, because it is just as bad if not worse for you than Crack or Meth. I hope you do some research and get your facts inline before you say something stupid like A drug is a drug is a drug….that also sounds like your crazy because you just repeated your self three times…. lol

First of all you are a great singer. The public gave that to you, money and fame. Without us you would be nothing. You should set an exapmple to the young folks and not do drugs or alcohol,look at Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay is a pathedic human being who is trying to destroy her self. Don`t do taht too yourself, you have a great talent.

NAN do you realise that alcohol and nicotine are drugs too? And that many users of harder drugs start with these ones first, before even touching illegal ones? Also, if cannabis were legal then users wouldn’t need to mix with drug dealers, and so would never be in the position where they could be offered harder drugs. You, are an idiot.

I’m not saying it’s bad or wrong, but like alcohol, it’s not harmless. You should be careful when you use it.

For Real- if everything that impaired your judgment were illegal, they’re are plenty of other things they should ban, too. I’ve seen some people make some pretty stupid decisions under the influence of “love” and hormones- including killing people. Why not leave marijuana use to responsible adults and get it off the streets and out of the hands of children? Studies show that marijuana is easier for kids to get than alcohol.

MAR - Regardless of if you think weed is a drug or not, it’s an intoxicant, and much like alcohol, driving or operating other machinery is not a good idea while you’re intoxicated. Statistics show that a helluva lot more people die as a result of alcohol intoxication.

I definitely believe that marijuana CAN be a gateway drug. HOWEVER…so can alcohol. And as many have said, alcohol, though legal, is one of the most destructive drugs there is. Firstly, in that people don’t think it’s a drug. But it is. I think anything that alters one’s reality for any length of time can be a gateway. Doesn’t mean it will, but it definitely can. Because if someone is willing to give weed a try, many times they’re willing to try something else, and in this day and age, that “something” includes a lot of far more dangerous substances, like crack.

Interesting how they tried to sensationalize this and make her a “cokehead,” too. Pot is harmless compared to alcohol or the worst thing ever- tobacco cigarettes. No one smokes a pack or more of joints. It’s hypocritical idiocy that alcohol and tobacco are legal and pot is not. Of course, moderation is key- you can be working at McDonald’s in your 40’s and living in your parents’ house if you smoke reefer all day.

The woman in the wrong way crash was drunk!!!! Marijuana stays in your system for up to a month, duh! Nicotine and Alcohol are gateway drugs. Marijuana is medicine. Just like Tylenol, just like Advil. How many crash cars while wearing fentanyl patches? Or taking methadone? How many people are addicted vicodin? People abuse vicodin ALL THE TIME, and they get addicted to it! Marijuana isn’t even addicting! No hangovers! Yeah some people abuse it, but I believe that 80% of the marijuana users are using it for medical purposes and just don’t know it yet. This is coming from Cali, where WE THE PEOPLE legalized it.
