“U.S. Royalty” is a Washington, D.C. based alternative rock band, made up of singer John Thornley, guitarist Paul Thornley, bassist Jacob Michael, and drummer Luke Adams. The band has been rapidly growing in popularity since its formation in 2007. In August of 2008, “Spin” magazine featured U.S. Royalty in their “Buzzcatcher” section, comparing the band to the bands Cold War Kids and Spoon. U.S. Royalty has recently been touring with Elvis Perkins, a well-known Los Angeles-based Folk rock artist. They recently signed to Engine Room Recordings, a New York City based Independent record label. Engine Room released their debut EP “Midsommar” in August 2009, both digitally and on 7″ vinyl.
