It might have taken Jude Law five months to meet his latest offspring but don’t expect to see Law take on the role of ‘doting dad’ anytime soon, as the details of his visitation rights have now emerged – he’ll be seeing his daughter only twice a year. The deal was hashed out when he finally found the time to meet up with brief lover Samantha Burke and his lovechild Sophia in Miami.
Per Stupid Celebrities:
A source tells the newspaper, “Jude will visit his daughter at least twice a year, once around Christmas. His visit (to meet Sophia in February) was fleeting and seemed mainly business-like.”
A bit like Santa, presumably. Law’s child with Burke was conceived while he was filming “Sherlock Holmes” in New York. In addition to his biannually visits, Law is said to have sealed a deal with Burke to provide regular $5000 a month child support, which also includes an agreement not to talk about their fling.
Pretty sad when you turn your first meeting with your child into a business deal.
