Katherine Heigl Filmed Last Episode of Greys Anatomy

Katherine Heigl Brown Hair - 1

After a stormy 6 year stay, it seems as Katherine Heigl is just waiting on her official discharge papers from “Grey’s Anatomy.” Series creator Shonda Rhimes has agreed to release Heigl from her contract, and now ABC and her representatives will work out an exit agreement. However, don’t expect her character Izzie Stevens to return to Seattle Grace Hospital to tie up any loose ends. Heigl, who adopted a baby last year and has been on maternity leave, did not return to the set as expected March 1st to film the five final episodes of the season. But ABC and Heigl mutually decided to end their relationship now instead of at the end of the season.

Per EW:

A source within the actress’ camp claims Heigl “was at home and ready to return to work.” Another insider, however, “insists it’s much more complicated than that.” The source adds that talks between Heigl and ABC have been going on for months and last week both sides mutually decided that the best solution would be to part ways now as opposed to at the end of the season. As a result, Heigl is not expected to return to the Grey’s set, which means her final episode as Izzie has already aired.

This should be no surprise as Heigl and “Grey’s” have had a rocky relationship. In 2007 she was in the middle if the TR Knight/Isaiah Washington feud, and publicly trashed Washington for repeating a derogatory word at the Golden Globe. Then in 2008 she knocked writers of the show, stating that she wasn’t in the Emmy race because she “did not feel I was given the material… to warrant a nomination.” In 2009, she called the 17 hour work-days on the show cruel and mean while on David Letterman’s show.

I honestly didn’t realize she was even still on the show.

Billy Corgan Wants John Mayer to Shut Up

On occasion, former rock and roll heavyweights will emerge from their smack-fog to remind the world of their greatness. When we don’t listen, they blast current rock and rollers in an attempt to gain our attention.

Billy Corganjohn-mayer-in-concert-1.jpg

Well played Billy Corgan. Well played.

As you likely already know, Billy Corgan is rumored to be motorbaoting Jessica Simpson. Simpson was recently called out by ex-John Mayer in an interview he did with Playboy Magazine.

In the interview, he likened Simpson to cocaine and referred to her prowess in between the sheets as “sexual napalm.”

This isn’t sitting well with her new captain, Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan, who is using his interview in Rolling Stone to blast Mayer.

Via Rolling Stone:

“He’s trying to destroy his career. Rather than take a year off or change his musical direction… some part of it is irritating his soul to the point where he’s trying to blow it up.”

True. Admitting to sleeping with Jessica Simpson is damaging to one’s career. Note the following: Nick Lachey, Johnny Knoxville, Dane Cooke, Tony Romo, etc.

As for the status of Corgan’s career with relation to Simpson, he’s still dodging the question of whether or not they’re actually taking one-eye to the optometrist.

Via Starpulse:

“If people knew her like I knew her, they would love her like I do” – a remark Simpson has already responded to, stating. “I can’t find good enough words to speak about Billy.”

Justin Timberlake Cheating with a Go-Go Dancer?!?

justin-timberlake-cheating-with-go-go-dancer-11.jpg

Justin Timberlake took his ho’ stroll to Las Vegas where some cell phone cameras caught him getting touchy-feely up to a few half-naked go-go dancers. While partying it up on March 10 at TAO nightclub, Timberlake-sans girlfriend Jessica Biel, was spotted awfully close to a blonde and brunette go-go dancer.

Via Celebrity Gossip:

“The ‘SexyBack’ singer spent the evening at TAO nightclub, partying in the VIP section with a group of his friends. And JT definitely took a liking to two go-go dancers- a blond and a brunette latina gal- and flirted with them until leaving around 2:30 am. But it didn’t stop there, as both dancers were spotted being personally escorted to his luxury suite by Justin himself.”

It’s a shame that poor Biel and her ‘natural’ lips were in New York promoting some documentary she did about climbing some mountain. Naturally, she certainly would have loved seeing her boyfriend play Mister McFeely with two ladies in nothing but fishnets.

Corey Feldman Furious at Celebrities Reaching Out Too Late – Video

Corey Feldman is mourning the loss of his longtime bestfriend, Corey Haim, who died Wednesday at age 38. He says he last spoke to Haim a few days before his death, and that the actor was “honestly in the best frame of mind that he’s ever been in in the past year.”

Per Starpulse:

He says, “I was awakened at 8:30 this morning by my brother and sister knocking on my bedroom door. They informed me of the loss of my brother, Corey Haim. My eyes weren’t even open all the way when the tears started streaming down my face. I am so sorry for Corey, his mother Judy, his family, my family, all of our fans, and of course my son, who I will have to find a way to explain this to when he gets home from school. This is a tragic loss of a wonderful, beautiful, tormented soul, who will always be my brother, family, and best friend. We must all take this as a lesson in how we treat the people we share this world with while they are still here to make a difference. Please respect our families as we struggle and grieve through this difficult time.”

Haim was caring for his mother, who was battling breast cancer, when he collapsed just after midnight Wednesday after complaining of labored breathing. He had been with his mother during all of her doctor’s appointments but fell ill with flu-like symptoms in the last few days. Judy Haim called 911 early Wednesday but Haim was later declared dead at the hospital. Feldman says Haim’s mother’s illness made Haim finally grow up.

[Corey Feldman on Larry King Live - Video]

Though Feldman is deeply appreciative of the outpouring of condolences from his Hollywood peers following the death of his longtime friend, he is also “angry, hurt and sad.” Feldman made an appearance on “Larry King Live” Wednesday night to express his animosity against the industry that made him and Haim famous.

Per Starpulse:

Feldman says, “Where were all these people the last 10 years? Where were all these people to lend a hand-out, to reach out to him and say, ‘You’re a legend, you’re an amazingly talented wonderful person who’s never really gone out of his way to hurt anyone, other than himself?’ In this entertainment industry, in Hollywood, we build people up as children, we put them on pedestals, and then, when we decide they’re not marketable anymore, we walk away from them. Then we taunt them and we tease them … It’s okay for society as a whole to poke fun at, to point fingers at, us as human beings. Why is it okay to kick somebody when they’re down? I don’t think it should be tolerated anymore.”

Feldman also tells Larry King that he wants people to stop jumping to conclusions that Haim died from a drug overdose, saying that “at the end of the day, until the coroner’s report comes out, until we have specific evidence, until we know exactly what the toxicology reports say, nobody knows.” He said that Haim had recently begun seeing a treatment specialist and was taking new drugs that “might not have corresponded properly with the medications he was currently taking.” Though plans for a funeral service have yet to be made, Feldman said that he and Haim’s family want to plan a “sizable memorial” that he hopes will be well-attended.

Renee Zellweger Rewards Paparazzi with Gift Card

renee-zellweger-gives-paparazzi-a-gift-card-1.jpg

Looks like Renee Zellweger knows how to pay it forward! While she was preparing to leave Starbucks in Santa Monica on Wednesday, a fellow patron noticed her parking meter was about to expire. So whats a man to do? Just in the nick of time, he slipped some coins into the meter, saving the actress from a possible ticket by the big bad meter warden. No word on if he was wearing a Superman costume. Renee was so delighted that she gave him a $100 Starbucks gift card, included with a message sweeter than their Java Chip Frappe!

Per PopEater:

“Wow,” the note read. “Thank you so much for the kindness. Warmly, with gratitude, Renee!”

While I make jokes about the situation, I keep reading about her being so nice to the public – how can you not love her! Loads of class… not much of that in Hollywood these days. The world needs more kind, thoughtful people like her.
