As we reported earlier (click HERE for a refresher), John Travolta and Kelly Preston confirmed they are expecting an addition to the Travolta family.
Now, Star Magazine (who first broke the news about Preston’s pregnancy), is reporting the couple are expecting twins.
Via Star:
“They were ecstatic when they thought they were having just one baby. Now that there will be two, they can barely contain their happiness!”
According to the insider, Preston began invetro fertilization treatments after she and Travolta lost son, Jett, in 2009.

I’ve always liked the Travolta’s (even tho they ARE weirdo Scientology ppl), so my heart went out to them when Jett passed (I’m sure John and Kelly could really care less that I even exist…but anywho…). However, since they started IVF treatments right after Jett died, it’s logical to conclude that they were fill Jett’s place (alright, I can understand a grieving family could want this). But with the weird Scientology folks it goes way beyond a family just wanting to fill the void of a deceased child (she is after all like…47 I think. Medically, since I am a medical professional, it’s not the best idea although it’s done now almost routinely. Since her eggs have aged, all sorts of problems can arise within the embryo/fetus itself.(Down’s syndrome for example.) Nonetheless, it is her body and she has the right to have a child at 95 if she wants. But back to the Scientology aspect…Scientologists believe that if one has a baby right after another child’s passing, that the deceased child’s soul will inhabit that of the newborn. And since they were REALLY trying, i.e. the IVF, to have another, I believe that this was their main objective. Simply put, they want Jett back, and in the strange world of Scientology, this IS possible.
That all being said, I do wish for her a healthy, safe pregnancy, and a healthy child.
Such happy news for the couple. But its a shame they are having a baby only to take the place of their deceased son.
