Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewarts’ Relationship Confirmed!

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may be in no mood to give away the status of their relationship, but that doesn’t stop anyone else from squealing! ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse‘ Producer Wyck Godfrey seemed to have blown the lid on the couples relationship, pretty much confirming what we have known for quite some time now. Godfrey recently told ‘Time‘ magazine he doesn’t think of Robert’s and Kristen’s romance in a good-for-business way, just that he hopes they “stay together” so there’s nothing awkward on set as they finish up the last two movies, Parts 1 and 2 of ‘Breaking Dawn.’

Per Time:

Everyone is talking about whatever is going on between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Is that good for business?
Do you want the honest answer? I haven’t even thought of it that way.

That’s not the honest answer.
It really is. I honestly don’t think of it in terms of business. It doesn’t affect our core business at all. The thing I do think about is, Oh my God, I hope they stay together. Because it could be awkward on set in the next movie if they have a huge falling out. It’s like, Wow, they have to portray this love story through two more movies. God, I hope they stay together; please stay together. That’s what affects my day-to-day.

Uh, what? Slow down on us there, Wyck. Let us absorb “yes, they are dating,” before you jump to “we hope they don’t break up!” But Wyck actually goes beyond any meager confirmation in this statement, seemingly assuming that we all know for a fact that Robsten isn’t a myth anymore. Now that the obvious has been confirmed, Godfrey also believes that the magazines and blogs will soon tire of the whole ‘are they or aren’t they’ questions.

But you walk by newsstands and it’s a publicist’s dream: they are on every cover.
I don’t feel it’s out there anymore. Do people still report on it? If you look at people who have a stable personal life, the rags get tired of them. I think we’re heading to that place where they are together and that’s their life and we better find someone new to create drama out of.

Oh honey, bless your heart. Until Robsten confirms the news themselves, us Twi-hards will never stop speculating!

Britney Spears Facing Questions Over Child Abuse Claims

The girl just can’t catch a break! Britney Spears is reportedly going to be questioned by social workers over claims that she abused her two boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James. Former bodyguard Fernando Flores said she is an unfit mother, claiming she beat one of the boys with a belt and gave them each foods they have allergies to.

Per The Sun:

A source said: “Britney doesn’t mean to be a bad mum. But Flores feels she has so many issues she can’t be trusted around her boys.

“He claims the first really shocking incident was when she came marching into the pool house at her mansion and demanded his belt.

“He handed it over but then followed her into the main house and claims he witnessed the alleged incident.”

The alleged incidents took place in late March or early April. Britney has strongly denied the claims and insisted that she has never mistreated her children. Child protection agency workers have reportedly tried to talk to her about the allegations but Britney was away in Los Angeles. Apparently, Flores fears her behavior could scar her children for life – who split their time between Britney’s home and dad Kevin Federline’s home.

Flores recently quit his job working with Britney after he claims she constantly walked round naked and sexually harassed him (read about that here.) He is said to be considering a sexual harassment lawsuit against her. Britney may not be the world’s best mother but I highly doubt any claims of child abuse would be found to be true. Answer me this; if these claims were true, why would Flores first bring people’s attention to the “alleged” sexual harassment before the child abuse allegations? I’m betting we’re dealing with nothing more than a former disgruntled employee who is looking for a quick payday in return for his so-called ‘silence.’

Larry King Live Ends – VIDEO

Last night Larry King announced that he will be ending his run on his CNN show. He first announced via Twitter that he would no longer host the nightly show, but has another network project in the works.

“Announcing tonight: I’m ending my nightly show this fall but continuing at CNN,”

Then, just as he started the show he confirmed the news…

“Before I start the show tonight, I want to share some personal news with you. 25 years ago, I sat across this table from New York Governor Mario Cuomo for the first broadcast of Larry King Live. Now, decades later, I talked to the guys here at CNN and I told them I would like to end Larry King Live, the nightly show, this fall and CNN has graciously accepted, giving me more time for my wife and I to get to the kids’ little league games.

“I’m incredibly proud that we recently made the Guinness Book of World Records for having the longest running show with the same host in the same time slot. With this chapter closing I’m looking forward to the future and what my next chapter will bring, but for now it’s time to hang up my nightly suspenders.”

That’ll do Larry. That’ll do. Currently the top ho in the running to replace Larry is Piers Morgan after he impressed the network by making a grown man cry during one his shows.

“British journo Piers Morgan will start his takeover of Larry King’s CNN show in October, sources tell Page Six. The former newspaper editor has a deal to host an hourlong interview program which will start in the fall four days a week as CNN phases King out. He’s also negotiated with NBC to stay on the “America’s Got Talent” judging panel, but is quitting the UK’s “Britain’s Got Talent.” One source said, “Morgan’s UK interview shows, including one where former Prime Minister Gordon Brown broke down in tears, impressed CNN bosses.

Morgan’s show will be prerecorded in New York so he can work ’round his other TV commitments.” CNN said in a statement: “We don’t comment on speculation. Rumors that we are close to signing a deal for a Larry King replacement are untrue . . . Larry is a beloved member of the team, and he will continue to be part of the CNN family into the future.”

I can wear suspenders and make people cry…I should update my resume and send it over.

Deadliest Catch: Empty Throne – Phill Harris’ Stroke

We pick up two hours after Phil Harris suffered a stroke on the Cornelia Marie. Josh is sitting outside his father’s emergency room door with his head in hung. Jake and the rest of the crew show up and Josh continues to be the impromptu leader.

Cameras are still rolling through the entire ordeal and Jake continues to crumble. The plan is to move him to a facility to get him the proper treatment. He has now gone 5 hours without the treatment he needs to survive. As he finally gets loaded into a plane Josh makes the choice to stay and take care of the family business and sends Jake to be at his father’s side.

Meanwhile at the Time Bandit, Mike takes a run at the Captains chair. The crew isn’t told of the decision at this point. It’s obvious as to why he waited to announce the decision. Co-Captain Jonathan Hillstrand’s son and fellow crewman will be burning with either jealousy, resentment or a combination of the two.
Over at the Northwestern Jake Anderson is continuing to let the news of his missing father eat away at him. (For more on Jake Anderson’s missing father CLICK HERE for the grim details.) The bridle on a point snaps and Jake is quick to get it back in the block. Sig isn’t happy that instead of running, he opted to try and save the pot.

Returning to the Cornelia Marie, Jake checks in with Josh via the phone. The worst fear is confirmed and they hear that Phil suffered a massive stroke and they are releasing the pressure in his brain by removing part of his skull.

It’s been 20 hours since Phil fell. Fred is trying to convince Josh to go to sit with his father. Josh wars with the choice of being with his father or doing what he knows his father would want him to do. Fred does his best to urge Josh to go be with Phil. He sums it up with the fact that they can catch crab anytime, they can’t catch another dad. I realize why I love Fred.

Josh decides to call out to his fellow crab fishers. He calls Andy Hillstrand on the Time Bandit and lets him know of Phil’s stroke. Andy calls his brother John who was taking some time away from the job to unwind. Andy also lets Sig on the Northwestern know the terrible news. Sig throws his hands up in frustrated and angry defeat. The two Captains try to find hope in the situation. Sig is fit to be tied and furious. He turns the light off and demands to be alone for a bit.

News continues to trickle through the rest of the fleet. Keith, despite the fact I can’t stand him, drives it home by shedding a few tears. Sig then tells the rest of the crew and is met with silent brooding. Jake Anderson takes it the hardest after spending time with him on the boat. The sympathy radiates from him. Andy also tells the Time Bandit crew.

Josh shows up to Anchorage after heeding Fred’s advice. John is there waiting at Phil’s room and waits for him to wake up. The brothers then take a break and just sit together, which is all they need at this point. Clips from next week’s episode show Phil awake and talking. Despite the new hope the boys remain worried.

Alex Band’s Listening Party For His Solo Debut ‘We’ve All Been There’ Out Today

After The Calling disbanded in 2005, the release of singer Alex Band’s solo album “We’ve All Been There” has been a long time coming. With his record actually completed in 2007, a restructuring of his label left the release in limbo. Since then, Alex has spent the last few years regaining control of the master recordings and establishing his own label, AMB Records, partnering with EMI for distribution. “I’ve finally got creative control, which is the main reason I went through all of this,” he says. “So now I’m starting completely over as a solo artist and reintroducing myself to the world.” Today, he is proud to release his solo debut We’ve All Been There, featuring the hit single “Tonight.”

Alex says of his album – which charts the course of a relationship from start to finish – “It’s definitely about my own struggle, but I think everyone can relate to what I’ve been through from experiences in their lives. I think everything I’m talking about on the record is pretty universal. And knowing now that I’m writing for different cultures, with fans around the world, it’s important that what I’m writing about is generalized enough that people can take the songs in their own way.”

We’ve All Been There is available in stores and online – grab it now on iTunes. Starting July 7th, Alex will play a few dates with friend and Live vocalist Ed Kowalczyk before kicking off his first headlining tour in six years. For a full list of tour dates and details visit AlexBand.net.

HollywoodDame Exclusive Interview – Semi Precious Weapons

Voted “Best Band in New York” by readers of the Village Voice last year, Semi Precious Weapons are a band that’s thrilled to say they got to play all-ages gigs at CBGBs, but wouldn’t necessarily feel out of place at the John Varvatos store (which recently took over the lease from the legendary music club).

The band’s not-so-dirty secret, and the reason why the songs are as accomplished and concise as they are bloody and bombastic, is that all four members are whip-sharp musicians. Singer Justin Tranter, bassist Cole Whittle and drummer Dan Crean met when studying music at school in Boston. Introduced through a producer friend, the foursome joined up for good after they met guitarist Stevy Pyne. “We heard him play and were blown away,” says Justin.

A classic rock obsessive, Whittle encouraged Justin to make SPW more grandiose. “We wanted to make filthy party hits; bring the party back to rock’n’roll and back to New York City.” Whittle says. “The songs Justin had already written were great songs, but they didn’t have super-catchy choruses. I kind of thought, let’s write songs that should be on the radio.” Whittle’s new riffs allowed the band to play as hard as they wanted and the lyrics to be as over-the-top as Justin wanted.

Live, Semi Precious Weapons are in a class of their own. The band is known for their energy filled, circus-like live shows. LA Weekly describes SPW as ‘gun-blazing bitch-rock. Weapons are a hybrid of Bowie-esque stage seduction and Sex Pistols-style insolence.’ Bass player Cole Whittle thrashes about stage with his ultimate fighting moves, while drummer Dan Crean fiercely pummels the drums. “Every time Justin sings I can’t pay my rent but I’m f*****g gorgeous, every face in the crowd lights up,” adds Crean. The band has been engaging fans across the country, recently selling out shows at Canada’s NXNE Music Festival. Not to mention the shows in Paris and London where Kate Moss showed up, and The Guardian newspaper called SPW “the most important band in America.”

Part hedonist and part satirist, Justin’s lyrics are both tongue-in-cheek and a sincere expression of his core philosophy. The sentiment of the aforementioned ‘I can’t pay my rent but I’m f*****g gorgeous’ which he sings at the start of “Semi Precious Weapons” has made such an impact on the band’s followers that they now drown him out at the start of every show. ‘Sometimes I bleed because red is a good color for me,’ he sings in “Rock’N’Roll Never Looked So Beautiful,” a slow-burn epic on the order of “November Rain” or “Champagne Supernova.” “If you decide you look amazing, then you are,” he says. “If you say you’re the most beautiful, you are.” Don’t let the clothes or make-up fool you – Justin is neither goth nor emo (nor a drag queen), just a guy who gets along well with his inner glamazon. “People get so upset that we like ourselves,” he says. “They want bands to talk about how tortured they are, and how much fun they’re not having.”

Justin also fills that role by making jewelry, a business that he only started ‘cause the band needed some merch to sell at early gigs. “My mom’s an engagement ring designer, so when it was time to get a day job at 18, a jewelry store is where I went,” he says. “I knew where I could go in the wholesale fashion district to buy pieces to put stuff together.” His necklaces based on the band’s gun and hearts logo quickly blossomed into Fetty Brooklyn, now a three-tiered line (Fetty, Semi Precious Weapons and Fame) available at Barney’s, Urban Outfitters and Fred Segal, as well as home-base boutique Alter. “We paid for our record with jewelry money,” Justin says. Justin has also branched out into shoes, with a limited edition made for DKNY.

The cool thing about this band is that everybody is themselves,” says Crean. “Justin wears his high heels every day. It’s not a stage performance choice. It’s what makes him feel good when he gets up in the morning.” Says Justin, “A man in heels and make-up is still quite a shock to most of the world. I think it looks fantastic, some people get angry. Which for rock’n’roll is kind of a perfect combination.” And it turns out Justin is willing to admit that Semi Precious Weapons are like everybody else in one respect. “We’re playing rock’n’roll as good as anybody that’s ever played rock’n’roll,” he says. “We just look better doing it.”

Earlier today, I had the chance to talk with Justin from Semi Precious Weapons about how they broke into the music industry, what goals they have lined out for themselves, and the one accomplishment he hopes to make above all others. You can read about that below.

When did you first realize you had an interest in music and what sparked that interest?

Well, I think really it began for us all when we were around 10 to 12 years old. Just hearing bands like Guns and Roses and Red Hot Chili Peppers and wanting to be like them. To be in a rock band. It was exciting

How did you break into the music industry?

We all met back in music school and afterwards we moved to New York as friends and then figured ‘Ya now what, F— it!’ and started a band. We’ve been a band for 4 years and its been a long 4 years. Our record is out today and before that we played in just about every bar across America and now we’re touring with Lady Gaga. We were just playing as many shows as we can and meet as many people as we can and never giving up. We have the type of music that you either love or hate but no matter what you’re talking about it!

How would you describe the sound of your music and what makes you feel that your album is different from other artists in your genre?

Rock and Roll. Some people want to define us as Glam Rock and that’s fine with me. We’re compared to AC/DC, Queen, and David Bowie. We’re just straight up Rock and Roll with filthy and glamorous lyrics. We’re showing people that you can still dance to rock and roll, you can party to rock and roll, and you can have sex to rock and roll.

What are some of your plans for promoting your album besides touring?

I’m very active in Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace. Touring endlessly, playing after-parties, and just making sure people hear us whether they love or hate us.

What are some short term and long term goals you have lined out for yourself? What’s next for you?

Short term is the Monster Ball Tour and have as many G–Damn people buy the album as possible. Long term we want to be the most loved band in the world and the most hated band in the world.

Have you written or created a song that didn’t make the album cut that you wished would have?

I just wrote a new song called “Geniuses Don’t Need To” that is absolutely beautiful. I was shocked at how fantastic it turned out. But I’m not upset that its not on the album.

Do you have any musical pet peeves?

Things that are average. Music should be urgent and exciting. I’m not saying it has to be loud and filthy. It can be soft and sensitive as well. But just not average.
S

Besides music, what are your favorite thing to do? What keeps you grounded?

Well for me, I’ve always thought that I was better than everyone else since I was 14 (laughs.) Just reading things about me, being a man who’s in high heels, and seeing where people have wrote that they hope I die or am killed, that pretty much keeps me grounded.

What do you miss most, besides family and friends, while you are out traveling and touring?

That’s a tough question for me because my family and friends are what I miss most when I’m traveling and touring because they inspire me to make music. But I would have to say what I miss most would be my collection of porcelain monkeys.

What is one accomplishment you hope to make above all others in your life and career?

I want to inspire lots and lots of people to love themselves.

What would you say is your favorite song on the album and why?

Oh, I can’t pick just one because I have two! My two favorite songs on the album is “Statues of Ourselves” because of my love for my family and my friends and then “Leave Your Pretty To Me” because it means so much to me. Its so personal and heartbreaking and no one thinks that I can sing like that!

Semi Precious Weapons’ debut full length, “You Love You,” is available today. Grab a copy in stores or digitally, on iTunes and Amazon.com! The nine full-throttle trash-punk anthems of You Love You redefine rock ‘n roll, combining the slick and glossy with the raw and gritty to create a toxic concoction best described as filthy glamor.
