Elton John and Eminem may have had a rocky start, but Em has been receiving rehab support from the “Tiny Dancer” singer since 2001. After a Grammy performance to show his love for the gays despite his homophobic lyrics, Marshall reached out to Elton. Ever since, he has kept in contact with him and they still chat at least once a week.
He tells Spin magazine 9via Contact Music), “Elton John calls me once a week. He used to tell me stuff like, ‘You’re going to start seeing certain things you’ve been overlooking’. And it came true. I’d walk around like, ‘Damn, that tree does look crazy, look at all those leaves!’ Things I didn’t notice when I was f**ked up.”
