Celine Dion Admitted To The Hospital To Avoid Premature Labor

Celine Dion, who is expecting twins, has been hospitalized to avoid premature labor with weeks to go before her scheduled due date, which is common among women carrying multiple children. Dion has been placed under observation at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Florida at the request of her doctors and is said to be in good condition.

Per PopEater:

“[This] is the standard of care for any patient with twin pregnancy in this clinical setting,” her rep added.

Dion is due to give birth next month. She announced earlier this year that she’s pregnant with two boys. She had tried for years to have more children. She and her husband, Rene Angelil, are the parents of a 9 year old son, Rene Charles.

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson Win Big At ‘Scream Awards 2010′

Leave it to Spike TV to throw yet another completely senseless awards show into the mix. This year, however, they may have learned a lesson by letting fans vote for awards and legions of Twi-Hards flocked to the world wide web into order to crown Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattison ‘Scream Awards 2010′ winners.

Stewart and Pattinson took home matching awards for Best Fantasy Actress and Actor while the third installment of the Twilight franchise, “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” took home Best Fantasy Movie.

“The same film, the third in the Twilight vampire movie franchise, also won Best Fantasty Movie, The Ultimate Scream and Breakout Male Performance for Australian star Xavier Samuel.“

‘Scream Awards 2010′ is set to air this Tuesday October 19, 2010 at 9:00 PM EST on Spike TV.

Barbara Billingsley of ‘Leave it to Beaver’ Fame Dies

Barbara Billingsley, known mainly for her role as June Cleaver, has passed away. She was 94 years old.

CNN broke the news that the actress passed away around 2:00 AM in her Santa Barbara home.

Actor Jerry Mathers, who played Billingsley’s TV son, Theodore ‘Beaver’ Cleaver, had this to say about his mentor:

“Barbara was a patient advisor and teacher. She helped me along this challenging journey through life by showing me the importance of manners, and respect for others. She will be missed by all of her family, friends, fans and most especially by me.”

Billingsley touched a new crowd of fans after her appearance in the 1980 film “Airplane” where her character lovingly told a stewardess, “I speak jive.”

Her family is planning a private memorial service.

Neil Patrick Harris And David Burtka Welcome Twins

Neil Patrick Harris and his partner David Burtka have become fathers to twins. Babies Gideon Scott and Harper Grace were born on October 12th, and Neil and David couldn’t be happier with the new little members of their family. Harris broke the happy news in a post on his Twitter.

Per MTV:

“Babies!! On 10/12, Gideon Scott and Harper Grace entered the Burtka-Harris fold,” Harris wrote. “All of us are happy, healthy, tired, and a little pukey.”

The twin, born via a surrogate, are Harris’ first children. Burtka is father to a another set of twins, a daughter, Flynn and son, Javin, from a previous relationship with film producer Lane Janger.

Alicia Keys And Swizz Beatz Welcome Baby Boy

It’s a boy for singer Alicia Keys and her husband, music producer/rapper Swizz Beatz. A representative for Keys said she gave birth on Thursday night to Egypt Daoud Dean in New York.

Per MTV:

On Thursday, Swizz hit Twitter and reflected on his good fortunes: “I’m so thankful for everything I been blessed with in my life wowwwwww! #realtalk”

This is the first child for Keys. Beatz has three other children from previous relationships.

T.I. Headed Back To Prison

Guess his feat of saving a suicidal man’s life didn’t sway the judge to ease his sentence. Clifford ‘T.I.’ Harris is being sent back to prison for 11 months after a federal judge revoked his probation today for his arrest in Los Angeles last month on drug charges. Defense attorneys had asked for home confinement on the violation, while the prosecution had wanted to see the musician put away for two years.

Per Just Jared:

During the hearing in an Atlanta courtroom, T.I. begged the judge for mercy and admitted he “screwed up.”

“I want drugs out of my life. If I can get the treatment and counseling I need … I can beat this,” he said.

As a condition of his release earlier this year, the rapper had been ordered not to commit another crime or to illegally possess a controlled substance. T.I. was also ordered to participate in a drug and alcohol treatment program and take at least three drug tests after his release. The judge reportedly gave T.I. two weeks to turn himself in.

Although he was wrong for violating his probation, you have to wonder why individuals such as Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton who were busted bringing drugs into another country, and who repeatedly violated their probation guidelines, get off so easy.

Michael Lohan Threatens To Become A Drunk To See Lindsay

Michael Lohan is at it again. He is so desperate to spend time with his daughter Lindsay, whose currently being treated for her drug addictions at the Betty Ford Clinic. Michael has tried and tried to visit his daughter, but gets turned away because ‘visiting hours are over.’ Or maybe that’s just what they are telling him. So how far is he willing to go to see Lindsay?

Per TMZ:

Michael is saying he’ll make one more trip to Betty Ford to attempt to see Lindsay. If she won’t let him in, he’s going to get all drunk and then go back and make a scene.

Up until now, Lindsay has reportedly refused to see her father every time he has attempted to visit her in rehab. Michael says he is even willing to stage his own arrest to show everyone how much he cares about his daughter. Wow, seriously? This just further proves how bat shizz crazy this family is! Didnt Lindsay act this way when Samantha Ronson refused to see her?

BMX Star TJ Lavin In Coma, Critical Condition After Crash – Video

BMX star and host of MTV’s “The Challenge” T.J. Lavin is in a medically induced coma after crashing his bike in a Dew Tour event in Las Vegas, Nev. on Thursday night, according to TMZ.

Lavin was competing in a Dew Tour event in Las Vegas — when he hit a dirt ramp, lost control, and slammed down onto the ground. Friends and crew workers immediately rushed to Lavin’s side, but he didn’t appear to be moving.

Lavin was reportedly attempting to execute a ‘Nac Nac’ combination when he failed to get his feet back on the pedals and crashed his BMX. He was thrown from the bike and knocked unconscious. Lavin additionally suffered a shattered right wrist and broken ribs. He is currently experiencing brain swelling and has been placed in a medically induced coma after being admitted to the trauma center of the University Medical Center in Las Vegas.

Lavin, a veteran of the BMX tour, picked up a silver medal and two gold medals at the X Games in 1996, 1997, and 1999. In the years since, Lavin has remained an aggressive competitor on the Dew Tour Circuit, while also branching out into the role of TV host. Since 2005, Lavin has hosted 10 seasons of MTV’s Real World/Road Rules Challenge. In Lavin’s spare time, he composes music and runs several Las Vegas area businesses.
