BOYLE BOTCHES LIVE U.S. TV PERFORMANCE
Scottish singer SUSAN BOYLE was left red-faced on U.S. TV on Tuesday morning (30Nov10), after attempting to stop a performance to recover from a cough without realising the show was live.
Boyle was performing a rendition of O Holy Night on America’s daytime chat show The View when she became choked up in the middle of the number and backed away from the mic.
Apparently failing to realise her appearance was airing live, the singer asked producers if she could start over while the cameras continued to roll.
Luckily, The View co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd swooped in to her aide, bailing out the star by taking the stage to ask her a round of questions.
Boyle reportedly retaped her performance for America’s West Coast showing. (JMA/WNVVW/MT)
