“They’re over,” a source tells PEOPLE about the short-lived relationship. “It ended last month.”
The two were last spotted together December 9, thus meaning they spent the holidays apart. Swift was seen ringing in 2011 in Nashville while Gyllenhaal spent the New Year in New York at the closing of the Broadway show “Fela!”
