Rihanna Banned In 11 Countries!

Rihanna seems to be taking her ‘edginess’ to extremes these days, with her side-show Bob hairdo and her new video features latex, leather, whips, chains, and gag balls – and that’s the nice parts. Her song ‘S&M is getting a lot of heat across the world for being too dirty for airwaves and she’s even being banned in a lot of places.

Per Mirror.co.uk:

“The promo for S&M has been banned in 11 countries, and BBC bosses in the U.K. have refused to allow DJs on its flagship station Radio 1 to play the song before 7 p.m.”

The countries that have banned the song are waiting for a new studio edit to decide if they will play it at all. Even YouTube has made it so that you must be 18 years-old to view the video because it features Rihanna sucking on a banana, simulating sex with a blow-up doll and leading Perez Hilton around on a dog’s lead. Rock Band ‘The White Stripes’ Break Up

Say it isn’t so!!

The bomb dropped last night that Detroit rockers ‘The White Stripes’ have decided to break-up!

The duo, which features Jack White and his ex-wife, Meg White, released several popular albums in the late ninties and two-thousands but has been largely inactive since the 2007 release of “Icky Thump.”

Via Variety:

“The band denied any personal or health reasons were behind the split, instead stating both members wished to ‘preserve what is beautiful and special about the band and have it stay that way.’”

How very ‘Sex and the City’ of them.

Though Meg White has been MIA recently, Jack White is involved in several other projects including playing with the band, ‘The Dead Weather.’

Steven Tyler’s ‘American Idol’ Apology-VIDEO

Apparently, people are sensitive to the point where one can no longer play the Banana game with the name “Muck” anymore.

This is what happened with ‘American Idol’ judge Steven Tyler.

Last week, Tyler joked with an Idol hopeful, poking fun at the contestant whose last name is “Muck.” Insert middle school level joke here.

Because of this, several people complained to the Fox network that Tyler’s remarks were in poor taste thus making Fox release an apology for Tyler’s behavior.

Via THR:

“There’s a black card that starts the show tonight,” [Ryan] Seacrest said. “It starts with, ‘American Idol would like to apologize for last week’s outrageous behavior by Steven Tyler. Mr. Tyler has been warned and assures us it will never happen again.”

Amazingly, Fox did choose to air the footage in the first place leading us to believe that this is merely another way to drum up publicity for the show.

Lindsay Lohan Is Suspect In Jewelry Theft

It seems every few weeks Lindsay Lohan is in trouble again. By all accounts, Lohan has completed rehab with flying colors, but now something completely non-alcohol and non-drug related is about to fully derail her comeback and the cops are involved. According to Radar Online, Lohan is being accused of stealing high-end jewelry. News broke late last night that she had allegedly stolen a $2500 necklace from a store in LA. Cops obtained a search warrant to search her condo, but one of Lilo’s associates has surrendered the piece of jewelry in question before the warrant was executed.

LAPD Pacfic Division Lt. Jeff Bert tells RadarOnline: “A person claiming to represent Lindsay Lohan turned the necklace into LAPD dectectives at 8:30pm Tuesday night. LAPD began investigating Lohan on January 23rd. The necklace was reportedly stolen from a Venice boutique. If the LA County DA’s office files charges it would be grand theft, which is a felony.”

Besides the fact that Lilo’s associate turned the necklace over to law enforcement, there’s also a video of Lindsay wearing the necklace at the store on January 22nd and a photo of her wearing the one-of-a-kind necklace a week later. The necklace is now in a police locker, classified as evidence. The L.A. County District Attorney will get the case today for its review, and one source closely connected with the case says charges are “likely.” With her being on probation still this could mean she’d be heading back to jail… AGAIN! Better start practicing for mugshot #5!

According to Lohan, a stylist of hers borrowed the necklace and simply forgot to return it. Lindsey – your story has holes bigger than the Titanic, and I hope you sink just as hard. Here’s to hoping the next post reads ” Lindsay Lohan Has Been Arrested” or “Warrant Issued for Lindsay Lohan”!

Anderson Cooper Attacked In Egypt – Video

CNN’s Anderson Cooper, who has been in Egypt covering the country’s political chaos, was attacked today by a mob of angry thugs. Cooper is on-site reporting on the unrest that is happening and the locals did not like it one bit. Some demonstrators reportedly did not want to be filmed so they began to punch Cooper in the head, attacking the camera crew, and going after their equipment. Anderson released a video shortly after explaining what went down and he let everyone know that he was alright.

Per Huffington Post:

“A man jumped out of the crowd and tried to push us around,” he said. “It sort of allowed other people in the crowd to focus on us. Other people came out of the crowd. Somebody punched me in the head, and from there things escalated quickly.”

The crew decided they had to turn around, he said. They tried to walk away “as calmly as possible,” but this did not calm the crowd around them.

“They were following us, screaming at us, ripping at our clothes,” he said. This lasted for five minutes. The mob threw bottles and water at the crew, and kept kicking and punching people. A few people tried to assist them, but they were overwhelmed by the pro-Mubarak group. Meanwhile, Egyptian soldiers watched the whole thing.

Cooper said he received four distinct blows to the head. “I’ve never been punched in the head before,” he said. “So they left an impression.”

Despite the attack, Anderson Cooper continues to report from the ground in Cairo, calling the scene “pandemonium.” Stay safe, Silver Fox!

‘Glee’ Leaks Their Cover Of Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurls’ – Video

Joseph Gordon-Levitt In Talks for ‘Dark Knight Rises’ Role

Mah new boo is not out of the Batman casting race just yet. Rumors were heavy with the insistence that Joseph Gordon-Levitt was thisclose‘ to nabbing the ‘Dark Knight Rises‘ villain role. Tom Hardy swooped in and won the prize as Batman’s new foe, Bane. Anne Hathaway will also play siren/villainess, Catwoman. Christopher Nolan also stated that The Riddler would not be one of comic book based bad guys.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt may be in the third installment of Nolan’s Batman films. Deadline is reporting that source-types are adamant that Levitt will be in the film.

“Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in talks to reunite with his Inception director Christopher Nolan in The Dark Knight Rises for Warner Bros. I’m not sure what role he’ll play, but I’m told that he will be in the movie when Nolan starts production this spring.”

Based on the fact two antagonists have been cast, Nolan’s Riddler rule out and Robin no-go, I think he will be a good guy of some kind. Thoughts?

Farrah Fawcett Iconic Red Swimsuit Going to Smithsonian

A collection of Farrah Fawcett memorabilia will be on display at the Smithsonian museum. At the center of the display dedicated to the “Charlie’s Angels” star will be her iconic red swimsuit. That suit and her smile sold just over 12 million posters since her 1976 shoot.

Ryan O’Neal and Nels Van Patten, friend and observer to the shoot, have given the National Museum of American History several items that belonged to the actress. The museum will create a collection dedicated to Farrah and place it in the popular culture history collections.

Via Smithsonian:

“The donation will include the red swimsuit, an original copy of the swimsuit poster, a leather-bound book of Fawcett’s personal copies of scripts for the first season of Charlie’s Angels, a Fawcett swimsuit jigsaw puzzle, a “Farrah Phenomenon” 1976 edition of TV Guide, a Charlie’s Angels 1976 edition of Time magazine, an original 1977 Farrah Fawcett doll and a “Farrah’s Glamour Center” hairstyling toy.”

PETA’s New NSFW Super Bowl Ad – VIDEO

Last year PETA cranked out a pro-veggie add that feature barely dressed models playing with fruit and veggies in a sexual and seductive manner. NBC snubbed the commercial despite being offered $3 million by the animal cruelty prevention organization.

This year, their ad will feature “outtakes” from the casting for last year’s commercial. More leggy models are treating the vegetation like a porn audition. I doubt this will make it air either.
