Lady Gaga‘s next single ‘Judas‘ isn’t supposed to be officially out until Tuesday, but someone decided to leak it early. Bad for her, but good for you because you can hear it here right now.
Per PopCrush:
In this two-minute clip, we can already tell that Gaga has done it again, while still riding the wave of ‘Born This Way.’ ‘Judas’ is repetitive, high-speed, and catchy, but maintains a deeper meaning — like in this line:
“I want to love you but something keeps me from you / Jesus is my virtue, Judas the demon I cling to”
Gaga warned us a few weeks ago in a video montage that the song would be heavy. “If they were not who you were taught that they would be, would you still believe?” the ‘Paparazzi’ singer shared in a written message, adding, “Let the cultural baptism begin.”
It’s got the Gaga sound for sure! After some serious “Judaaaaas Judah ah-ahs” and some heavy thuds that crush down on your eardrums like the steel-toed boots of army instructors, we’re then thrown into some verses that explain how even though he’s an apostle that’s known to betray his pals, Lady Gaga still welcomes Judas into her life and will always forgive him… because you know, she’s just in love with him. Anyways, get ready for this to be all over the radio this spring, and also expect Gaga calling herself “hooker, prostitute, wench” and comparing herself to Jesus in the same four-minute span that results in people calling for her head, or at least for her to do a couple of public rosaries.
Filming for the ‘Judas’ video caused an outrage among the Catholic League and almost drove Gaga’s creative director Laurieann Gibson to quit out of fear of a punitive lightning bolt from above. I can’t help but to wonder if this one will also get it’s own country version. Remember – her CD ‘Born this Way’ will be in stores May 23rd!

I don’t like it. At all. The two singles from her new album coming out suck. Her last album was great. I’m disappointed in her and turning in my Little Monster membership card.
