It’s no secret that Britney Spears has been the organ grinding monkey that has built the house of Spears. To this day she is told what to do, how to do it and when to do it. The current control is probably thanks to the head shavin’ umbrella wielding incident, but you can’t get a genuine answer out of Brit thanks to her handlers.

Carson Daly recently discovered this fact and Tweeted his frustrations about the “ridiculous” hoops media outlets have to jump through for an interview. (Click HERE for more on that…) Everything has to be given a green light, edited and double checked by her team. After her return to sanity post ‘Blackout’ album, Brit filmed a documentary called ‘For the Record’ and spoke about feeling like a “prisoner” in her life.

“If I wasn’t under the restraints I’m under, I’d feel so liberated. When I tell them the way I feel, it’s like they hear but they’re really not listening.”

This isn’t a new development. She has felt this since her rise to fame in her early teens according to celebrity journalist Neil Strauss. He shared with MTV that Spears wanted him to help her pen a tell-all book that would reveal a not-so-squeaky-clean past that her reps created. Brit came up with the idea after he interviewed her.

“She did actually call me a year later and invited me over to her house. It turned out she wanted to write a book and she wanted me to write it, and she had all these crazy stories about her life that she had gathered about sexually acting out and trying to escape the control of her parents, all these things. We stayed in the touch for a little bit and her people took away her phone. Poor thing.

She was also said to have made some notes about her relationship with Justin Timberlake for the book. Looks like all of the Spears crafted stories will never see the light.
