It’s a possibility. Currently, an eight season is in the works but that may be the end of it. Looks like Olivia Wilde cultivated a film career just in time.
Hugh Laurie, former pill popping genius Dr. House, spoke with Radio Times (via Im Not Obsessed) and explained that the show may have run its course.
“The end of that season, right now looks like the end of the show. Well, that’s as far as they’ve got me for.”
It may sound like the typical fishing for a bigger paycheck, but Hugh’s true love surrounds his blossoming music career.
“The acting muscles don’t know what they’re doing, actually. Perhaps they should, but they don’t. There’s very little about this … I don’t know maybe there’s a repetitive action in music – if you do your scales and your fingers are nimble, then there are certain things you just know you can do without too much difficulty. Acting for some reason isn’t like that. It doesn’t become automated in quite the same way.”
I’ll be honest, I loved this show back in the day but broke up with it after he stopped eating Vicodin like Lindsay Lohan on a Tuesday afternoon bender. Easily one of the best shows on tv, but it’s time to stick the proverbial fork in it.
This is the best show in the world.
I’ve been following this since the very beginning, having seen all the episodes at least three times, and it still grabs me.
The inside jokes, the underlying storyline and little details are what differs House MD from many other series.
Hugh Laurie is a great actor, who stars in a great show. Would be sad to see it go.

All good shows come to end but not House right! it is a really good show…apart from the medical jargon which leaves me somethings wondering how many of them I actually understand what they are.
But I so disappointed the whole House team is gone! Apart from Foreman … wipe gone off the slate. Man I cant believe season 8 started like this.
How would House go on without Hugh Laurie?????
