Charlie Sheen thought that his hit show on CBS “Two And a Half Men” would not survive without him. Once he was fired he began ranting and raving about how CBS would have to cancel the show because it would be nothing without his character.
Well Happy Friday the 13th Charlie, you’ve been officially replaced. I guess today Sheen’s not winning! Who’s set to replace Charlie on the hit show? Ashton Kutcher!
It was rumored that Ashton was in talks with the shows producers yesterday to replace Charlie. And today we find out that it is in fact a done deal! Charlie made about $1.25 to $2 million an episode, but Kutcher won’t get anything close to that. But he will be paid somewhere in between $800,000 and $900,000 and episode! Reportedly, the remaining cast – including Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones – will be coming back for season 9.
Per TMZ:
Ashton Kutcher paid a little homage to Charlie Sheen in the official, just-released “Two and a Half Men” press release, saying, “I can’t replace Charlie Sheen but I’m going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people.”
Kutcher is said to have spent time with creator and Executive Producer Chuck Lorre and the two “got along great,” something that was really important for Lorre in finding a replacement. He will not be taking over the role of Charlie Harper – instead, playing a new character who moves into the beach house.
Do you think the show can really go on without Charlie? And will Kutcher be a suitable replacement? He’ll always be Kelso to me…

YES, Ashton will be able to keep people viewing. Perhaps even more than before. I do think he should play the role of Charlie also. “The part of Charlie Harper wil now be played by Ashton Kutcher,” when the first scene opens this fall. Be the best thing.
really dumb casting, Kelso as Charlie
