Going into last night’s finale on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” we had three couples, but only one would walk away with the Mirrorball trophy. It was down to Hines Ward, Kirstie Alley, and Chelsea Kane.
Many people were predicting that Kirstie would win it all because of all the progress she’s made over the season. And of course we can’t forget how much weight she’s lost while in the competition. I guess the whole theory of dancers and the great shape they’re in is true. All three stars danced their butts off this season, but who danced away on top?
Pittsburgh Steelers star Hines Ward and his partner Kym Johnson ended up on top and walked away with the Mirrorball trophy.
Per E!:
“I will put trophy next to my Super Bowl MVP trophy—that took a few guys to win—and this was me and Kym, and it’s a huge achievement that deserves to be up there next to that trophy.” He also thanked all of his costars on the series, saying, “You guys made it fun for me. Kym took this guy who didn’t dance— who didn’t even go to his prom—and she’s my prom date right here now.”
Kirstie came in second. I have to give her some serious credit. A lot of people including myself laughed at the thought of her on DWTS, but she really worked it. Now it’s on to speculating on who will be on next season’s show. Do you have any favorite stars you’d like to see on DWTS?
