Lindsay Lohan Reports For House Arrest

Lindsay Lohan was seen out enjoying her freedom and doing a bikini shoot in Miami earlier this week. Now she is confined to her home for the next couple weeks, as she reported to authorities today to begin her ankle monitoring and house arrest.

Lohan wasn’t due for a couple more weeks, but she reported to the L.A. County Court house early to start serving her 120 day sentence for theft charges of a necklace she allegedly stole from a Hollywood jewelry store. She plead no contest to a misdemeanor charge stemming from the incident after she apparently left the store wearing a gold and diamond necklace for which she had not paid.

Per TMZ:

Lohan arrived to the Lynwood Jail at 5:02 AM this morning to check in — where she was fitted with an electronic ankle bracelet. She was quickly sent home to her pad in Venice, CA and we’re told she’ll spend roughly 35 days in confinement.

Lohan was fitted with an ankle monitor that will ensure she does not leave her property for the time she must serve, unless allowed by the courts. She was also sentenced to 480 hours of community service by the courts.

”I am glad to be able to put this past me and move on with my life and my career,” Lohan said in a written statement released by her lawyer. “I support the judge’s decision and hold myself accountable for being in this situation.”

I don’t think making you sit in your swanky million dollar home is holding you accountable! I think they should make her do house arrest in an old, abandoned, rat and bug infested trailer park on the east side of L.A. Maybe then some sense would sink into that hollow head of hers.
