They say most accidents take place in the home – but that doesn’t make it any less scary when it happens. Gavin Rossdale and his wife, Gwen Stefani, had a pretty scary night when their son, Zuma, had what his father called a “horrific accident” and had to be rushed to the ER. Gwen said that her son’s fall was “the worst night of our lives”.

The two-year-old, Zuma, fell pretty far off the counter in the couple’s residence and broke his arm. The couple told People magazine that it was a “freak accident.”
“He’s fine now,” dad Gavin Rossdale tells PEOPLE. “It’s almost worse for us [as parents] … The kids are never alone and you turn your back — it takes a split second.”
Zuma spent a night in the hospital and is doing fine now. His dad, on the other hand, still seems pretty shaken up! The scariest thing about these split-second accidents is that they usually happen when your kid is right in front of you. Makes you want to wrap your kid in bubble wrap! Luckily, kids often recover from these things faster than their parents do. I’m glad little Zuma is recovered and doing well.
