File this one under appreciation for a firm grip of the obvious. Kim Cattrall has confirmed to PopEater that a third installment of S&TC is probably not going to happen.
The first ‘Sex and the City’ movie gave most fans a case of the mehs while the second should have been re-titled ‘Sex and the City: Attack of the Estrogen Deprived.’ The box office and critics didn’t exactly receive the last film with open arms. While loyal fans still showed up to see nearly 2 hours of puns, the occasional boob flash and Sarah Jessica Parker in various outfits…it is doubtful that a third would prove financially worth it.
“I don’t know if it will happen. I really, really have no idea. I love playing Samantha Jones. I would love playing Samantha Jones again, but I don’t know if I will.”
Chris Noth, aka Mr. Big, was far more blunt and honest to OK! when it comes to the series turned film flops.
‘I don’t think they’ll do another one because they got hurt very badly by it. I think we got skewered, although I’ll tell you what, were we really that bad? Were we that bad? I thought a lot of the reviews were actually personal, derogatory and in bad taste. It was only a movie for godsakes! Was it really that much worse than Hangover 2? I mean, come on! Really. They made like we had killed somebody’s mother making that movie. I don’t think there will be another one.’
