More loss is being reported this morning. ‘Jackass’ alumnus, Ryan Dunn, was killed in car crash.
Bam Margera confirmed the unfortunate news this morning. Dunn and a friend, currently being identified as Zac Hartwell, wrecked in Pennsylvania around 3 A.M. The 34 year old’s Porsche busted across a guardrail in West Goshen and hit a tree. TMZ mentions that the car became engulfed in flames and was towed hours later.
Ryan shared a photo of himself drinking with friends on his tumblr account (seen below) about 2 hours before the crash claimed his life. (It has now been removed from his account.) I could prattle on about drinking and driving along with the consequences, but I think things like this speak for themselves. Lets hope he didn’t claim the lives of any innocent travelers.

UPDATE: Friends of Dunn have confirmed that he was drinking at Barnaby’s of America in West Chester. They claim he had “at least 3 beers and 3 shots” in a span of 4 hours (estimated between 10:30 PM and 2:10). Another friend confirmed seeing him drink 3 Miller Lites and a 3 “girly shots.” Another bar patron told TMZ he was “wasted” and added he “had a lot to drink.” The photo with a full beer in his hand was posted around 1 A.M. Police are also suggesting speed “may have been a contributing factor” to the wreck.
UPDATE 2: Police have confirmed that Zac Hartwell was the passenger in the crash. He is pictured in the photo of Ryan drinking. Zac is on the far right in the green plaid shirt.

Actually, Bam’s mother identified Zac as the fellow passenger. It was also confirmed on NBC (sourced at bottom of article). Tumblr is just a microblogging platform which he uploaded onto to Twitter. The article is true to fact as the story develops. He was drinking and driving period as the photo proves. Whether or not it was over the legal limit, sadly, we may never know. Thanks.
Yes the passenger was Z. Hartwell, but I think they are keeping this as private as possible
Yes it was definitely Zac and his family is devistated by the loss as many people in our community. Zac was from our area and well liked. Ryan was very much liked also. It is so sad that this happened. It all just doesn’t seem real to all of us here in West Chester but I’m sure the reality will sink in. Zac and Ryan will be dearly missed:( Prayers to both families at this time of loss.
I can confirm. He was my niece’s husband.
I hope bam is okay. I really feel bad for him because ryan and bam were such close friends.
