‘Sex and the City’ Prequel Starring Selena Gomez in the Works

Candace Bushnell, author of ‘Sex and the City,’ revealed that a prequel will eventually come to life. It will either be a big screen film or made for tv movie.

Bushnell has just released a novel prequel for the fashion mixed with sex series. ‘The Carrie Diaries’ has been joined by ‘Summer in the City,’ which goes into the adventures of Carrie’s senior year of high school. During the book launch, the topic of more S&TC movies came up and Candace is confident the series won’t stop at just two feature films.

“[I can] definitely something on the screen. Big or small screen.”

This isn’t the first prequel rumor. Blake Lively’s named is attached to the role of Carrie in several film adaptation rumors. Candace did not confirm or deny that casting, but she did reveal her top contender to undertake the role of a young Charlotte York.

Per Daily Caller:

“You know, I don’t know…Casting is like kismet. I’m going to get into trouble for this, but I was looking at some pictures of Selena Gomez today and thinking ’she’d make a really good young Charlotte. She’s so pretty. I was like…gosh, wouldn’t she be great? Am I right or wrong? I’m not good at this. If I say something like that, then the next thing I know, people are like, no!”

Keep in mind that nothing has been confirmed or denied. Until then, tag it with a WHOLELOTTA NO.

Nobody knows, it’s not assured & plus, Selena said it would be a absolute privilege, hopefully she does! I would so go see it, depends on the cast too of course.
Hopefully they pick the characters Carrie, Samantha, & Miranda, wisely.
