Daniel Radcliffe revealed that the pressures of being a child star nearly lured him into a drinking problem. He told GQ that he fell in love with the sweet nectar to have a good time because being one of the richest kids ever wasn’t fun enough.
Fortunately, for those of us who would sell our grandmothers to take a picture with DanRad while dressed as Bellatrix and have him autograph our underwear, he was able to realize his alcohol problem before it became his downfall. “I became so reliant on [alcohol] to enjoy stuff. There were a few years there when I was just so enamored with the idea of living some sort of famous person’s lifestyle that really isn’t suited to me.
I’m actually enjoying the fact I can have a relationship with my girlfriend where I’m really pleasant and I’m not f**king up totally all the time. As much as I would love to be a person that goes to parties and has a couple of drinks and has a nice time, that doesn’t work for me. I do that very unsuccessfully. I’d just rather sit at home and read, or talk to somebody that makes me laugh. There’s no shame in enjoying the quiet life. And that’s been the realization of the past few years for me.”

As for this girlfriend that has fangirls giving every British chippy side-eye…he has been pretty quiet on her identity. Radcliffe has been rumored to be dating Olive Uniacke for years. She is the step-daughter of Potter producer, David Heyman. Original stories state that Olive met Dan on the set of ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ where she was working as a production assistant. Currently, sources say he and Olive are “just friends.” Radcliffe is busy in New York with his Broadway production of ‘How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.’
