This week’s tabloids can’t get enough of Jennifer Lopez’s apparent breakup drama with Marc Anthony. “Us Weekly” says Marc is “seething with jealousy” now that J.Lo has reclaimed her single status by, among other things, “bonding” with her “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” co-star Rodrigo Santoro.
And the Latin crooner sometimes takes it out on his future ex-wife. “Marc is suspicious of everyone, especially a hot guy she’s working with,” says an insider. “His mood shifts from blaming her to begging her to take him back to telling her she is destroying his life.”
J-Lo and Santoro have supposedly been spotted engaging in “flirty fun” between scenes, such as giving each other “little love taps” (we don’t have any idea what those are, but they sound painful), with the Lopez-Spy claiming they are very comfortable in each others presence. Rodrigo’s most alluring quality, according to the snitch: He’s nothing like Anthony. Lopez’s rep tells Gossip Cop that the romance speculation is “100 percent false.”
Meanwhile, other rumors claim J-Lo has her eye on another hot commodity: Gabriel Aubry, who is currently in the midst of a bitter custody battle with ex-girlfriend Halle Berry over their daughter Nahla. Uh-huh. Moving on and back to Marc Anthony… According to Us, Anthony is “enraged” that he’s no longer able to control his estranged missus, and he’s been “frantically” calling her to see if she’ll reconsider the breakup.
“Jennifer made up her mind,” says the source. “She’s plowing full speed ahead with the divorce.” Alas, sighs a J.Lo mole, “He can’t let go. He’s always managed to persuade her that she can’t live without him. But this time she’s certain of her decision.”
And that’s apparently causing a lot of acrimony in their divorce negotiations. His allegedly antagonistic attitude has been tough on Lopez, who is reportedly seeking full custody of the twins. Divorce Attorneys believe that it is going to be a difficult battle, if the matter goes to the court. But Lopez, as the Gloria Gaynor song goes, will survive.
