Kanye West is always good for a caps lock ridden rants that make you roll your eyes and give a patronizing Yeah, OK. England got a taste of Kanye’s rants live in concert.
West was complaining about how “misunderstood” he is. While on stage at the Big Chill music festival Saturday night he compared himself to Hitler and Michael Jordan. This is an odd/terrifying combination. This was probably in answer to his video for ‘Monster’ being banned after featuring women being hung from their necks.
“I walk through the hotel and I walk down the street, and people look at me like I’m f**king insane … like I’m Hitler. One day the light will shine through and one day people will understand everything I ever did.
Michael Jordan changed so much in basketball, he took his power to make a difference. It’s so much f**king going on in music right now and somebody has to make a f**king difference.”
Combine his tirades with his Twitter musings and he could make that difference with a tour. He would already have hit singles with, “I might walk in Nobu with no shoes…” and “NINJAS… YESSSSS!!!!!!!” He could finally give the tired Auto-Tune a break and it would be his first concert that we didn’t equate to “putting a tin can to your ear and leaning against the Pac-Man machine.”
Ah, Steven Colbert…you slay me.
