Gavin DeGraw, the guy sang ‘Chariot,’ was attacked by a group of men who apparently don’t like ‘One Tree Hill.’
DeGraw was out getting his drank on late Sunday night with some friends. (It must have been a meeting plan the next Say Something Hat Day. Seriously, hundreds of photos of this guy and I couldn’t find one in which he wasn’t wearing a newsboy cap.) After adjourning for the night, he left the East Village bar by himself and was beaten in the street just before 4 A.M. The group of “unknown men” broke his nose and cut his face. After the assailants left and Gavin got up and tried to find some help but ended up getting hit by a taxi.
Throw in a case of herpes and this is the worst night of drinking gone wrong. After getting clipped by the cab he was taken to Bellevue Hospital. Reuters confirmed he is recovering from the incident and has been forced to cancel appearances on “Live! With Regis and Kelly,” opening for Maroon 5 and Train in Saratoga Springs and a LiveStream performance.
No arrests have been made.
What kind of world do we live in where guys with a newsboy cap fetish can’t walk the street by himself at 4 A.M.?
