Jessica Simpson and Nicole Richie Feud

Jessica Simpson and Nicole Richie are fighting and making snide comments about each other’s weight for a new show, ‘Fashion Star.’ Nothing says high quality entertainment like watching two reality stars scrap over skinny jeans belly hiding blazers.

Nicole and Jess are “mentors” for wannabe designers for the new NBC reality show and they can’t get along long enough to share camera time. According the National Enquirer, the show’s creators hoped that there would be some tension, but they hate each other so much that it is causing issues behind the scenes.

“Producers thought pairing them on screen would mean lots of fireworks to attract viewers,” said the insider. “But their personalities don’t mesh at all. Behind the scenes, the set is a war zone. Nicole is always ready to go, but Jess lingers in her dressing room, keeping every¬one waiting and asking to do multiple run-throughs.”

When Nicole isn’t waiting for Jess to squeeze into her Spanx Rodeo and get camera ready, they are making snide comments about their weight issues. Simpson has been facing nonstop pregnancy rumors as she sports a bit of a bulging belly while Richie is please eat a burger already! skinny.

“Nicole has made a few digs about Jessica ‘throwing her weight around,’ while Jes¬sica has joked that someone would have to be on a star¬vation diet to wear Nicole’s designs,” the insider said.

14 contestants have to face a weekly challenge to help expand their brand. Elle MacPherson is hosting this mess while John Varvatos joins the judging panel.
