Demi Lovato Responds to Weight Gain Comments – PHOTOS

Demi Lovato’s Twitter was filled with comments about her weight gain during the 2011 MTV VMAs. (Yes, Virginia, there are people out there with even smaller no-hearts than me.)

Demi is back to reheating her career after her bout with rehab at the hands of cutting problems, bipolar issues and eating disorders. Post rehab, she is back to a healthy eating regimen and continuing the healing process. That didn’t stop “fans” from Tweeting messages criticizing her body. The word “chunky” was thrown around and caused Demi to trend on the social networking site.

Originally, the Disney star fired back with a flipped bitch switch…

“I’ve gained weight. Get over it. That’s what happens when you get out of treatment for AN EATING DISORDER.”

Later, she deleted the Tweet and replaced it with a more demure response…

“Guess what, I’m healthy and happy, and if you’re hating on my weight you obviously aren’t. :) #UNBROKEN.”

I think it’s BS how people are attacking her about her weight. That’s the type of body type I have and I love it, I’d rather be healthy than have depression by worrying over how skinny I need to be. I used to have that problem and it consumed my life, I couldn’t even enjoy a piece of birthday cake without feeling like a loser. I think it’s awesome that Demi rocks that dress and doesn’t care what other people say. And honestly, she looks better like this.

Wow some people are just plain dumb. She looks gorgeous! How could somebody say something so rude to somebody so sweet? Demi has always SINCERELY cared and supported others so why couldn’t those people do the same? Immaturity. Love you Demi Stay strong girl. <3
