Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin Trial Separation ?!

In a blind item revelation, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin reportedly attempted a trial separation. During his last tour, Chris was free to do what and who he wanted. Reps will throw a NUH-UH! at the rumor and it will go quietly into the night, but sources say they attempted the separation and kept it as quiet as possible to keep their kids blissfully unaware of a possible permanent split.

When the subject of marriage comes up in interviews, the typically tight lipped couple usually share the gratuitous compliment about their relationship and move on. However, Gwyneth shared an odd view on cheating during the Venice Film Festival.

“I am a great romantic – but I also think you can be a romantic and a realist. Life is complicated and long and I know people that I respect and admire and look up to who have had extra-marital affairs. It’s like we’re flawed – we’re human beings and sometimes you make choices that other people are going to judge. That’s their problem but I think that the more I live my life, the more I learn not to judge people for what they do. I think we’re all trying our best but life is complicated.”

It makes you want to get out your monocle and label it evidence of hidden debauchery. One could interpret her words a hundred different ways, but she asserted that it was an attempt to be supportive of friends. (*sigh* You finally think that Gwen isn’t as boring and snobby as a piece of raw organic asparagus.) During that same interview she went on to pull Chris’s name out of the cheater pool…

“If death by virus was a punishment for extra-marital affairs there would only be three dudes left in this world right now…… I’m lucky – I have a wonderful, blessed life. I have two fantastically delightful children and a very nice husband, so… Knock on wood.”

Again, you want to read “very nice husband” as a backhanded compliment meaning “philandering peen who does me the honor of changing the sheets and taking a shower.” However, beyond the rumor there is no further evidence of Chris pulling a Tiger Woods. I guess that it is why it’s called gossip.
