Gene Hackman is a part demigod actor, part man. Kinda like a centaur, but even more awesome. So I called up 1800Flowers and demanded that their biggest (and cheapest) arrangement be delivered to original Lex Luther upon hearing of his accident.
Hackman was hit by a pickup truck while riding a bicycle in the Florida Keys. Senior citizens on bikes are always adorable. Maybe the driver was briefly entranced by Gene on a bicycle. The 81 year old was knocked onto the grassy shoulder of the road around 3 pm yesterday.
He was airlifted to a hospital in Miami for tests and observation. (The accident wasn’t that serious, but note he was on an island.) He has a few bumps and bruises, but he is now doing well according to his rep.
