Rumors of a Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis split began as your average gossip fodder. Those pesky “sources,” “witnesses,” “insiders” and “close friends” where all whispering about various events that have led to a break up. One prominent rumor stated that Depp can no longer stand Vanessa’s jealousy over all his beautiful costars.
National Enquirer recently ran with the story that Johnny’s new ‘Dark Shadows’ costar, Eva Green, is trying to pull an Angelina Jolie and man-snatch Depp.
“Vanessa is afraid that Johnny has fallen head over heels for Eva. Johnny has brushed off Vanessa’s fears, but it’s caused so much tension that rumors are flying they’re about to split up.”
Now, People has thrown a split story into the ring. The mag is typically a reliable source so raise an eyebrow in concern…
“Depp, 48, and Paradis, 39, who are parents to Lily-Rose, 12, and Jack, 9, have not appeared side-by-side on a red carpet for more than a year. Multiple sources tell People in this week’s cover story that the relationship is all but officially finished. In fact, some in their circle say the couple of nearly 14 years have already split. Says one insider: “It’s so sad.”
It appears this rumor could be more than just hearsay. Reps are currently silent on the issue, which is never a good sign.
