The sight of Seal in bicycle shorts is no longer the glue in Heidi Klum’s marriage. This weekend, rumors of Klum and Seal’s divorce preempted an official YUP, WE BE SINGLE! confirmation.
It started with TMZ reporting Heidi was going to file divorce papers. People then waved their finger and reported that they weren’t splitting, but just going through a “rough patch.”
Today, the mag hit the back space on their claim they were not breaking up. The couple issued a statement confirming they are separating…
“While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate.
“We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition.
“We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.”
As for the WHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYY?! behind their split, rumor is that Heidi, a German, couldn’t take Seal’s “volcanic temper.” Not to resort to stereotypes and piss off the makers of fine beer and pretzels, but how much rage are you indulging in when a member of the Germanic ethnic group calls you grouchy?
