The Clooney has been nabbed for protesting in Washington. The ‘Ides of March’ star and savior to distressed nightclub hostesses was taken into custody outside of the Sudanese embassy in DC.
George Clooney and his father, Nick Clooney, were arrested after leading a protest. Secret service agents took the cooperative star and several congressmen in for crossing a police line. It’s a misdemeanor offense, but George is actually happy about the arrest. He, according to sources, hopes that the incident will bring attention to the issues he was speaking about at the protest.
Clooney’s publicist Stan Rosenfield states: “They were protesting the violence committed by the government of Sudan on its own innocent men, women and children. They were demanding they allow humanitarian aid into the country before it becomes the largest humanitarian crisis in the world.”
