‘The Hunger Games’ cashed in with its opening weekend box office numbers at a worldwide total of $214.25 million.
The film made $155 million in America alone making it the 3rd all-time biggest opening three-day weekend. ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2’ holds its title as the highest grossing opening weekend film with ‘The Dark Knight’ in second at just over $158 million. ‘The Hunger Games’ knocks ‘Spider Man 3’ to fourth with ‘Twilight Saga: New Moon’ in fifth.
Reviews for the film are still enjoying positive reviews, but they are not as strong as they were on Friday. Click HERE for the initial reviews…Currently it is sitting at an approval rating of 85% from critics while the audience gives it an 88%.
