Britney Spears may be thisclose to finally reaching a deal with the devil. Brit’s manager, fiancé and conservator, Jason Trawick, was rumored to be deep negotiations with ‘X Factor’ to fill in one of the vacant spots on the judging panel. Things seemed to cool down and a rumor that Rihanna was their new focus stepped in. It appears the ‘S&M’ singer is out thanks to “a big breakthrough” in negotiations with Spears’ team this weekend. (Note: I doubt that RiRi was even being considered for the panel, but we will err on the side doubt.Perhaps it was a clever ruse by Simon Cowell?)
According to Deadline, the reality show is now willing to pony up a salary that could nab the ‘Circus’ singer a $15 million paycheck…
“The pop star received a $10 million offer to join the second season of Fox’s singing competition. I hear that her actual salary will end up being more than that, probably closer to $15 million and possibly exceeding the $12 million Jennifer Lopez received on American Idol last season. Cowell and Fox had focused on getting Spears on board before moving to filling the other vacant judge chair on the show.”
Britney Spears and live tv…this should be interesting providing she isn’t given a script writer and a shock collar to keep her in line.
