So this is probably turning over 100,000 miles on the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie engagement rumor tachometer, but People is running with a story that Jolie has an engagement ring.
Robert Procop joined Angie’s army. She isn’t currently taking applications for the child army, so he helped her create a jewelry line. He worked with the actress to crank out ‘The Style of Jolie’ and confirmed that he designed an engagement ring for her. She wore a diamond ring on her left ring finger to a private viewing at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Chinese Galleries on April 11th. This is the alleged engagement ring according to Hollywood Reporter.
A rep for Procop issued a confirmation to The Hollywood Reporter that the former CEO of Asprey & Garrard (jeweler to the royal family) has indeed designed and engagement ring for Angelina with Brad’s help…
“I can confirm that, yes, Robert Procop did indeed design an engagement ring for Angelina Jolie, designed in collaboration with Brad Pitt.”
So, are they engaged? Do we really still care? That remains to be seen and I won’t believe it until I see Maddox running around with a headset barking orders to Shiloh to pick up her tux at Men’s Warehouse while feeding George Clooney his Best Man speech.
UPDATE: Bust out the smug smiles. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are engaged! It is official and Brad’s rep confirmed the news…
“Yes, it’s confirmed,” Pitt’s manager Cynthia Pett-Dante announced. “It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There’s no date set at this time.”
