This lil’ girl could drink me under the table, snort a line that would make Lindsay Lohan proud and will admit it with a smile on her face while mentioning that her album is in stores now. On that note, Demi Lovato is now admitting to cocaine use and revealing that club promoters supplied her with piles of coke and booze to entice her to make appearances at their venue.

Demi on not wanting to talk about her drug abuse (spoiler – she does anyway): “It’s something I don’t really want to talk about. What I can say is that I was depressed. I would come off stage in front of 18,000 people and suddenly be alone in a hotel room. I’d come crashing down and would try to find a way to recreate that feeling, to stay ‘up’.”
Demi on unscrupulous club owner practices that OSHA would frown upon: “Promoters gave me drugs and alcohol in restaurants or clubs. They wanted me to come back so I would be seen there. They were basically kissing my ass,” says Lovato. “I thought they were my friends. I thought I was having fun. Being a celebrity can be dangerous. Nobody says ‘no’. That’s why so many end up overdosing and dying. It could definitely have happened to me.”
Demi on rehab being, like, hard: “It was really, really hard and scary. I was homesick and lonely and several times I thought [bleep] it, I’m leaving,” she said. “I had 14 hours of therapy a day. I listened to music and learned to knit. When I finally left, it was like being let out of prison.”
I will admit that it take a great amount of testicular fortitude to admit to being a hot mess, but is it just me or does she have some kind of admission like this every few weeks? I may not be a detective, although I do own a monocle, but I think she may be doing this to stay in the press or something. Well played Demi. Well played. (Please note sarcasm.)
