The Bee Gees brother has joined Donna Summer in the great big LED disco dance floor in the sky. Robin Gibb lost his battle with cancer.
Gibb died in England on Sunday. The 62 year old “passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery” according to a statement from his family. This leaves Barry Gibb as the only surviving member of The Bee Gees.
Robin had been diagnosed with liver and colon cancer and a secondary tumor was found in early April. His band-mate and twin brother, Maurice, died in 2003 from complications due to a twisted bowel. The family had already suffered a loss in 1988. A heart infection took the life of their brother, Andy.
